Noooooo!

All great things come to an end...... Robert needs to relax and enjoy himself, he will always remain the Greatest of all, and so will Jimmy. We can't be self-centered about this. They have already gave their fans the best gift, MUSIC.

Ok we have seen some Page/Plant collaboration. I would like to see some Page/Jones Collaboration. Perhaps an instrumental project. Surely that would be fertile ground!!!

Who's with me?

I recently saw that as well. The soundtrack holds up better than the film!!

A vast understatement. Some great music by Jimmy including: City Sirens, Prelude, Who's To Blame and Jam Sandwich (my personal favorite). Too bad this has never been released in the U.S. on cd.

so much for Robert saying he wont be doing any recording or anything else for the next two years, it must be a lookalike performing at the Grammys next week then?

:rolleyes: How long have you been waiting to pounce? Its pathetic. Get your facts right - he said not TOURING with anyone for the next two years.

Now go away and sharpen your blade for the next thing he dares to do or say.

I've got a cd of it. I forgot where I got it.

I see someone selling a copy of it on Amazon as well (although at $80).

I have it on my I pod too.

I wish they would release an extended cut version because there is stuff on the movie that's not on the album. Especially Death Wish III.

I think I be popping it in when I go out today.

We are missing more important thing here - the question of whether he will perform or not soon? I guess, that was Poortom's intention. I see no blades around.

The thing is, Robert never said he won't perform. He said no touring in the next two years. That's clear enough.

No no of course not.

Yes he will perform again soon - at the Grammys, not sending a look-alike, but as Robert Plant himself - which he is perfectly entitled to do.

Except he's not relaxing really - he's in the studio with Alison Krauss working on a follow up album to Raising Sand :)

An appearance at an award show is not the same thing as touring. I'm quite certain it will be THE Robert Plant

I have the original vinyl edition, when it was released back in early 1982. Don't think I'm ready to splend $80 on a cd version though. That's a bit steep. I think that's a Japanese only release from a few years ago. Hopefully, someday in the U.S. but not betting on it.

It's probably a good idea for Jimmy Page to explore his music in an instrumental manner as any singer he attempts to record with gets slammed and slimed. Rodgers, Farlowe, Coverdale and the list goes on.

I caught Deathwish 2 the other night on AMC and Page wrote some twisted shit for that flick. Some really great themes and melodies.

1st of all; I think Jimmy/Jonesy Instrumental project would be very awesome (not to mention probably the best thing for both of them at this point...)

2nd; Damnit!! I missed Death Wish again! Stupid TV Guide...

I don't like all this. Not at all. (exept for Jimmy ;) )

Why can't they just go on one more???:(:(

THIS REALLY GOT ME DOWN.

I was doddle-ing around on The Rolling Stone Magazine website and they were saying stuff about Led Zeppelin. So, it was my natural instinct to click the link. :) But, I totally shouln't have...

The headline on the page* said, '"Led Zeppelin Is Over", Jimmy Page's Manager Declares' :wtf:

I got a tear or two when I read it. :'( :depressed:

For more infromation on this VERY depressing subject, please go to this link.

*like, Jimmy PAGE.

Tell me if this was a :goodpost: !!!!

(ps- I like to use smileys)

This is a bit of old news. Jimmy's manager came out with this several weeks ago. We'll see. No official statement from Jimmy or JPJ yet.

On the Deathwish Soundtrack--Jimmy's guitar on Jam Sandwich sounds amazingly like Jeff Beck to me. At least tone-wise. Inspired.

Yeah, maybe to an extent.

Perhaps he is playing with his fingers like Jeff? It also sounds strat-ish. Have a listen:

Not really sure, but it would remind you of Jeff Beck. I'm not a guitar expert, but the sound doesn't sound like one of his Gibsons. Perhaps it is a Strat or Telecaster. Don't know.
