For My Life Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I'm sitting in my hotel room in Bangalore, India, and on one of the cable channnels up comes this trailer for a US show I'd never heard of called 'Army Wives'. To my shock and surprise the music in the trailer is clearly the Physical Graffiti outtake instrumental known as Swan Song (the three and a half minutes long version with Jonesy's bass and Bonzo's drums on there too). Anyone know if this music has been licensed for the show or whether they simply downloaded it from a file sharing service or bought a bootleg CD? I'm intrigued to know what Jimmy thinks about this! Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti Outtake *Swan Song* Do you know which season and episode? There are several trailers. http://www.mylifetime.com/on-tv/shows/army...ic-guide?page=6 Quote
MisterMcLov1n Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 VH1 tends to rip off Zeppelin music, too. I've heard imitations of When the Levee Breaks and The Rover, namely. They ripped off Sweet Leaf, too. Quote
ZepFanatic Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I love the song Swan Song...only Zeppelin can make acoustic guitar/bass/drums sound so heavy and epic! Quote
swandown Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Can you describe what the trailer looked like? The show has been around since June 2007, so what you saw could have been 2 years old or it could have been a preview for a newer episode. Quote
Zachman Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 that a show like that would randomly use a song that was never officialy released and put it as their music for a preview or whatever it was. I think thats what he meant. I mean its a great decision on their part cant get much better than swan song but still i have to hear it to believe it.. Quote
