Cool, a South African lady here......A good friend of mine used to live in Durban, so I heard lots of amazing stories bout your country (lol sometimes over and over again)

No need to feel silly, I am 40 years old and there are even older people on this board.....good musical taste has no boundaries.

Welcome to the greatest community of people in the world.

Hi all,

Charlotte here from South Africa. I'm new to the forum although i've been a fan for the longest time. I feel kinda silly - I'm 31 and joining a fan club.

Does anyone know if the former members ever see any of this?

Welcome aboard kid! B):D

Phew! Thanks for the warm welcome. I don't feel so daft anymore. I've always loved the band, but my fiance's a music producer and a vinyl collector and he's given me a whole new perspective on their music.

He has all their vinyls, signed copies and all... Anyhoo, he encouraged me to listen to everything again, and again, but with different ears. He dragged me into his studio and explained the various instruments, production techniques and, well, to be honest, I was blown away. Funny how I knew all the songs, but never really listened to them. You know?

Then there's of course the small matter of Robert Plant being the most awesome vocalist and I'm somewhat embarrassed to say the most gorgeous man to ever walk this planet. :)

So yes, Led Zep's incredible awesomeness has even reached the most southern point of Africa. And we never even got to see them.

Just goes to show how universal music is and it has no limits or boundaries :D :D :D

That must have been an amazing experience to hear their albums in a studio like that. Sure does put a whole new perspective on things!

Welcome!!

No need to feel silly, it's a cool place to hang. This is the only forum or fanclub I belong to other than one other zep site. This one is way better.

I have a connection with South Africa

The day after the reunion concert I was interviewed on Capetown Radio in South Africa. With Lindsay someone. fun stuff.

Again Welcome Aboard!
