CharlotteO
Hi all, Charlotte here from South Africa. I'm new to the forum although i've been a fan for the longest time. I feel kinda silly - I'm 31 and joining a fan club. Does anyone know if the former members ever see any of this?

Aquamarine
Hello Charlotte and welcome. If you call this a messageboard rather than a fan club, maybe you'll feel less silly, though personally I agree with ally! No, the former members of Zep don't read the board. CharlotteO
Phew! Thanks for the warm welcome. I don't feel so daft anymore. I've always loved the band, but my fiance's a music producer and a vinyl collector and he's given me a whole new perspective on their music. He has all their vinyls, signed copies and all... Anyhoo, he encouraged me to listen to everything again, and again, but with different ears. He dragged me into his studio and explained the various instruments, production techniques and, well, to be honest, I was blown away. Funny how I knew all the songs, but never really listened to them. You know? Then there's of course the small matter of Robert Plant being the most awesome vocalist and I'm somewhat embarrassed to say the most gorgeous man to ever walk this planet. So yes, Led Zep's incredible awesomeness has even reached the most southern point of Africa. And we never even got to see them.

Just goes to show how universal music is and it has no limits or boundaries :D That must have been an amazing experience to hear their albums in a studio like that. Sure does put a whole new perspective on things!
