  1. I was discussing this show with a stranger at Whole Foods just yesterday. I was wearing my 1977 US Tour reprint tee shirt and he stopped me to compliment it and say he caught that at old Chicago Stadium as a 13 yo. His dad took him and his brother. I told him I was jealous because at age 9 I was too young, but remember reading Seattle Times about epic Kingdome show and being intrigued. Sadly my chance never came to pass….

I'm glad you're enjoying it. After working on it, I totally reevaluated my opinion of the '75 tour. I think the shows are a lot better than they're generally given credit for, especially the March ones when Jimmy's finger was healed and Robert's voice recovered from his cold. I'm working on the 3/20/75 show now and I'm kind of blown away at how good the performance is, especially once it's remastered and you can hear Bonzo's kick drum and how he and JPJ interact to support Jimmy's solos. It's really amazing to get to hear it like that, and it has given me a much greater appreciation for just how good the band was during this part of the tour.

Interesting perspective Steve - thanks again for this strong work!

There's another radio station in California, (KZRO) that not only plays Led Zeppelin's music, but they carry the "get the Led out with Carol Miller" syndicated show..not just the hour long version, but also a "Carol Miller's get the Led out" minute which is just the part where she talks about the band.

Great to know Carol is still around and doing this!

The original vinyl bootlegs of September 4, 1970 L.A. Forum were chopped up and songs out of order. Thankfully, with the mix of different sources we now have the fullest and most complete version of that famous night...with the songs in their proper order and most of Robert Plant's Plantations restored. This might be the best version yet of this concert. Happy 50th Birthday Blueberry Hill!

Gave this a listen last night. Thanks for posting it!

I'm embarrassed to say I never finished and let the thread die on the vine, so-to-speak.

But as 2017 will be the 40th anniversary of the 1977 tour...and the 45th anniversary of 1972...I will post about both next year and complete the thread.

Strider, I’ve been on a ‘77 tour kick this past week and I’ve revisited your great posts with memories and eye witness accounts.

Did you ever post a thread on your ‘72 shows? Did I miss that?

On a basketball note I was hoping for another Celtics vs Lakers final but both our teams in a big hole.

So I was feeling nostalgic and google  the concert and this forum came up on my search. Remembered that 49 years ago I was at the MSG concert sitting a couple rows back . Watching and enjoying RP...and years later found out that I'm in the video. I'm the girl in the white hoodie. The reason I was smiling and laughing was because he pointed and signal to come up closer to the stage.

Great story! Thanks for sharing that.
