  1. Woody - is that you? :D:D

Indeed it is, you'd think I just got a computer. The Stray Cats thing could well have been 1990 the only thing I do remember is that it was Hammersmith and that the song was Little Sister. It was the only time I ever saw the Stray Cats. I have a box of old ticket stubs and stuff, I'll have to look and see if the Stray Cats one is in there.

That midsummer night's Tube was the only Tube taping I went to, normally it started too early for me to get there. I have a recollection of seeing Robert in the Barley Mow but I don't know if it was after that show or one of the regular Friday night ones.

  2. Robert's taping was held on Wed, June 22, 1983 at the Tyne Tees Television studio in Newcastle, England where the program was based. As you know, Robert himself halted it's airing as he was apparently dissatisfied with his performance. Unfortunately, even

after all these years it has yet to surface via bootleg or within the trading community.

Even though the performance seemed really good to those of us in the audience it was obvious at the time that Robert wasn't happy with it. I think "Big Log" was the single at the time and he did it two or three times. I remember him comparing it to a Kinks concert he went to in the sixties and that they played You Really Got Me twice because it was their hit.

  3. Thanks for the info via your first post, rdobirdman; I'm humbled. Welcome to the forum.

You're very welcome. I was at the Plant/Krauss show at the Greek the other night and somebody mentioned this site, so I thought I'd check it out. I don't know if it's been discussed here much but back in the early '80s I attended the taping of " A Midsummer Night's Tube" a special edition of the UK rock show "The Tube" featuring Robert, which never aired, do you know if it ever saw the light of day via bootleg or anything?

  4. Sometime during 1989 Robert Plant joined The Stray Cats onstage for their encore at the Hammersmith Odeon in London. The unsolved mystery is: ON WHICH EXACT DATE WAS THIS CONCERT HELD? WHAT SONG OR SONGS DID ROBERT PLANT PERFORM WITH THEM?

Robert sang Little Sister with the Stray Cats at Hammersmith, sorry but I don't remember the exact date.
