I should have paid closer attention.

There have been tons of references/mentions.

Once I finally investigated for myself and discovered JPJ was involved, I knew I had to act.

After all (and I know this could come off as borderline heresy), but in my opinion, JPJ has shown more diversity than any of the boys over the years.

I mean, he was in on the Butthole Surfers' Independent Worm Saloon, which was, for me, a very telling revelation.

This guy wasn't hung up in the past, or in mainstream pablum.

So I knew it had to be legit.

I have just today bothered to listen to Them Crooked Vultures.

I know, I know...

Please don't rub my nose in it, my shame is already overwhelming.

That being said...

HO.LY.SHIT.

This is fucking awesome.

Track 8 - Reptiles has a really sweet Zeppelin groove without actually cloning the sound.

And that breakdown at the end of Track 10 - Warsaw Or The First Breath You Take After You Give Up made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

This is a breath of fresh air, giving some legitimacy to the label "supergroup", especially after hearing some of the uninspired tracks from Chickenfoot.
