  1. My favourite table at my local bar/diner in Suwanee, Georgia

That is an amazing looking table. Is the place as nice to hang out as their taste in tables is exquisite? If so, must be a great place to hang out!

It would be wonderful to have a picture of the entire table, without the condiments, to add to my Led Zeppelin photo collection! If you should happen to remember and feel like taking on a photo request, I would certainly appreciate a full view of that table! It's a busy world so no harm done if you don't have time! Thanks for posting and thanks in advance if you should decide to post another!

  2. Here's one from a cigar bidding site. I am not posting a link since it will probably disappear when the auction ends tonight at around midnight. Perhaps the neatest thing is that it, "ranked 24th in Cigar Aficiando's Top 25 Cigars of the Year list" with a score of 91!

    Cigar Size: 5.0" x 48

Headley Grange by Crowned Heads is a 91-rated cigar with a melodious composition. Crafted to resemble the methodical drumbeat of 'When the Levee Breaks,' this uniquely inspired blend hits all the right notes. The smooth Ecuador Sumatra wrapper embraces a bold blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers for a medium to full-bodied experience. Treat taste buds to a buttery smooth and nutty sweetness fused with notes of coffee, nutmeg and leather. With a cigar this good, it's no wonder Headley Grange ranked 24th in Cigar Aficiando's Top 25 Cigars of the Year list.

  3. If this Taurus lawsuit against Led Zeppelin doesn't work, the lawyers will surely go after Ford next. If the trial is held in the U.S.A., they may even find a jury who will believe their argument--

--Ford did not build that car, Spirit built that car!

  4. on the TV series Supernatural some episodes were named after Led Zeppelin songs like "in my time of dying" and "what is and what should never be" and one of the characters is a big fan of Zeppelin and constantly saying "Led Zeppelin rulez"!

in one episode this character and his brother pretended to be detectives called Page and Plant...

I noticed that this show, "Supernatural" has been mentioned in this thread already three or four times, so I apologize for the overlap.

However, I happened across an episode guide to the show "Supernatural" when I was looking for historic references to the string "The Song Remains the Same" which I'd heard an announcer mention about a poker player's luck remaining bad, he said something like 'poor Charlie, for him it seems the song remains the same, he's just had no luck' or something to that effect. There may be other things that I missed in that episode guide since I can't say that I know everything that Plant or Jones has done post LZ, but if anyone's interested to see if there are some blanks to fill in, the guide is at http://www.tv.com/shows/supernatural/episodes/

It's pretty interesting to give it a once over if you have a couple of minutes since there are other bands' songs, movie titles, pop-culture related things named as episodes in that show that most LZ fans will recognize.

20060928 Season 2 Episode 1 -- In My Time of Dying (First episode of season 2)

20070201 Season 2 Episode 13 -- Houses of the Holy (Last episode of season 2)

20070503 Season 2 Episode 20 -- What Is and What Should Never Be

20090507 Season 4 Episode 21 -- When The Levee Breaks

20090514 Season 4 Episode 22 -- Lucifer Rising (Last episode of season 4)

20100204 Season 5 Episode 13 -- The Song Remains the Same

20100422 Season 5 Episode 19 -- Hammer of The Gods

20100513 Season 5 Episode 22 -- Swan Song (Last episode of season 5)

The show continues to this day, it is in its' ninth season, but I did not notice any more LZ related stuff since season five.

    I love this thread!

  5. Many sources claim Bonzo's nickname was given to him by Robert Plant well before Led Zeppelin formed and was inspired by the English comic strip dog of the same name:

    http://www.goantiques.com/bonzo-the-dog-1636011

Uncertain if Robert has ever confirmed the comic strip dog was the inspiration for the nickname. My first thought was perhaps John's nickname was inspired by the 1951 film Bedtime for Bonzo, wherein a comedic attempt is made to teach morals to a chimp, however that is admittedly pure speculation on my part.

Since that link has been taken down, here's a different link for my fellow Led Zeppelin board members convenience, George Studdy and Bonzo -- "This site takes you through the history behind Bonzo, the famous cartoon character created by George Studdy."

  6. Here's one I just seen on the television this evening. There's a new movie coming out called "American Hustle" and Good Times Bad Times is featured in the commercial. I looked it up on youtube and found the trailer for everyone's enjoyment. GTBT kicks in at about the thirty-three second mark.

or skip directly to the thirty-three second mark with the link below,

  7. There is a vinyl record store where I live, called LedZeppelin.ee.

Sorry for the bad photo quality, I took it with a phone.

    Thanks Anxss!

I think that the photo is just fine. I for one never would have had the chance to see this place had you not taken the time to post it, so I really do appreciate that!

  8. Found another one! This one is on youtube. Look for a young man who is speaking on a cellphone-yes, this young man on a cell-phone in Hong Kong will actually stand out! The video is from a British television show called "Culture Shock" and the episode is "Hong Kong" So here's the link to Culture Shock: Hong Kong, a Led Zeppelin moment in an unrelated place.

P.S. I didn't put the video into the post, well, because I don't know how and wasn't sure if it takes disk space on the lz.com server or not. If you'd like and know how, please feel free to embed the video.

  9. after a lifetime of disasterous relationships i finally found him.

    and i'm never letting go!

aint love grand? ( sorry if i am making some of you sick )

at least you understand, daniel :)

    It sure is grand!

You understand, I understand and if I may please take the liberty to say that we both hope that some day every body here is lucky enough to understand!

  10. oh wow, that is so beautiful. thanks for sharing that.

i don't own a dog, never have and never will, but i can feel what you mean.

my hubby and i kiss and embrace everytime we see eachother after being apart all day at work. i love him so much.

Sorry for the long delayed thank you but thank you for your kind words! Sounds like you and your husband have a wonderful marriage going on too, and that's an awsome thing!

  11. Arriving home after some time away, my wife was walking our dog in the direction of our driveway. It had been a while since I'd seen her so I decided to stop and wait for them. I stopped, got out of the car and walked behind it. Our dog saw me standing there and starting tugging on her leash, trying to come to me. My wife unhooked the leash and our dog ran faster, toward me, than I'd ever seen her run, so happy to see me and visa-versa! There's really nothing like the loving bond between a dog and her human, that's for sure! As the dog and I were trading affections, my wife caught up and we did the same. I don't care if I sound like Dorothy, there is no place like home!
