  1. Nice Phantom and Tomcat.

Does the Phantom have the re-inforced landing gear like the Navy fighters or is it just a jar-head jet?

Is that an A-4 in the background? Hard to tell.

Love the bi-plane with radials, except for the yellow paint.

    Is that dope and fabric?

    Whats the Piedmont plane?

    DC-3, DC-2?

Can`t figure out the one with all the windows in the nose above the F-4`s verticle.

  2. It's what I got for the folks at the DC911Truth 4th of July picnic. Fortunately, the women preferred the Chardonnay (No Poindexter, it's not beer, and doesn't come in cans).

Did it come in a box?

I`m sure it had to as not to blow the budget on papmlets, tinfoil hats and cookies.

Do youse guys take donations or is all this tax deductable?

Wait, thats another conspiracy and you don`t file.

Does the CIA also have a bug in your head?

  3. Au contraire... cans keep the light out, so the beer doesn't spoil. And the material they make the cans from now doesn't impart any taste. Dale's puts all of their beer in cans and they're wonderful. Many more brewers are starting to put the good stuff in cans. Lasts longer and easier to carry around.

    Touche`

I stand corrected but the last time I put on my flip-flops, I stepped on a pop-top, cut my heel...you know the reat of the story.

Cans, I still prefer glass to metal.

Besides, I`m not exactly a kegger, cooler-connoisseur nor an ale-aficionado.

    I like the hard stuff.

  4. German spelling. As for not putting beer in cans, you have raised yourself one notch from the typical Miller drinker. Still have a long way to go, but that's a start.

Well let me tell you, the best beer I have had recently was ice-cold Pabst Blue Ribbon, longneck in a little bar in the Maringy area of New Oleans.

Stay east of Esplanade if you come to The Big Easy.

The finest collection of freaks and U-Haul Yankies between Austin and NYC.

  5. You are completely disgusting. wink.gif

So is my liver and beer breath.

    Bier...beer....

    Why the alternate spelling.

Save me the leg-work will `ya?

And another thing, beer shoud never be put into cans.

  6. Sad to see the mighty Bad Company reduced to playing casinos and open air venues.

One of the best shows I ever saw was Bad Company, 1976 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

I always did love the Mott The Hoople-Bad Company-David Bowie-Ian Hunter connection.

    Mick Ralphs is `da man

I just hope they come to New Orleans.

  7. Poindexter, I don't know how old you are, but does it still taste the same?

I`m older than dirt, lets just say I remember were I was on November 22, 1963 and saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan.

Yes HP still taste the same but being the son of of a poor white share-cropper, we were lucky to get Funny Face instead of Kool-Aid.

  8. Joran van der Sloot was nabbed in Chile with a dead girl in his hotel room, back in Peru.

I just hope he comes clean about what really happened to Natalee Holloway and gets swift justice.

Do they hang `em in Peru?

  9. May 18th 1977 - Led Zeppelin played in Birmingham, Alabama (A killer show if I might add!)

    Set List:

    The Song Remains The Same

    The Rover/Sick Again

    Nobody's Fault But Mine

    In My Time of Dying

    Since I've Been Loving You

    No Quarter

    Ten Years Gone

    The Battle of Evermore

    Going To California

    Black Country Woman

    Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp

    White Summer/Black Mountainside

    Kashmir

    Over The Top/Moby Dick

    Guitar Solo

    Achilles Last Stand

    Stairway To Heaven

    Rock and Roll

    I was there!

The lights were on and Jimmy walked out first, waved to the crowd and strapped on the double-necker, plucked one note and kicked it off with The Song Remains The Same.

I don`t recall the Rover/Sick Again as the second songs.

The middle acoustic set was fabulous!

    Oh the memories.

  10. Actually it was just a 10% water change. We have a 10 gallon and we exchanged a gallon. The guy at walmart said to just let it cycle 24 hours when we got the tank, but we called an actual pet store and they told us a week. So we did a week. But after we got the fish we went back and looked at the tank it came from, and we noticed one of the fish were missing scales, or they looked bubbly, idk how to explain it. That kind of freaked us out.

The only reason we got them at walmart is our pet store has mostly tropical fish, and the freshwater are expensive compared to walmart. But I guess its a good investment if you don't want them to die.

    Thanks for the advice.

A ten gallon tank is really small, hardly any room for the fish to move.

You really need to let it cycle for much long.

    Give it a month.

I `ve spent $200 on a fish before and I know whats its like.

I just love Moorish Idols and Regal and Sohal Tangs.

But I`m partial to marine fish and the cost of ligthing is horrible. Imagine spending $100 bucks on a lamp (light bulb) when your tanks takes three.

I hope your fish pulls through, but he/she needs a little breathing room.

Good luck and hope I helped.

Now this is a fish, a Moorish Idol.

  11. I HATE WALMART.

So my boyfriend and I buy a fish tank for our sons birthday, and we let it cycle for a week to let good bacteria grow before adding fish. Added water conditioner, and did everything to ensure we had a healthy home for our fish. April 16, we go buy 3 fish, a Koi, a Shebunkin, and a sucker fish. A few days later the shebunkin dies. We think ok, maybe it was just a weak fish or something.

Yesterday, I was looking at the fish, and I notice there are white spots all over the sucker fish, even on his eyes, it was horrible. And the koi is rubbing against stuff like it was scratching or something. After a little research, we find out it's something called ich, or ick. So today, my boyfriend goes out and buys this water treatment,(from walmart might I add). He does a water exchange, cleans the rocks with a special tank vacuum he bought, and treats the water. So a couple hours ago, I go to feed them, and the koi is swimming on its side, not dead yet, but knocking on its door. Needless to say, he was gone within a few minutes. We got pretty fond of him too, he had personality. RIP fishies.

Anyway, my beef here is with walmart. This disease obviously came from there, because our tank was brand new. Not to mention after all the accessories and supplies, we easily spent 80-100 dollars on everything for them to just die. But the worst part is these poor animals are just being stocked like another product of walmart, and no one gives a shit if they're diseased, they'll sell em anyway. I will definitely try to shop somewhere else from now on.

The sucker fish is still alive, any fish owners have any suggestions?

As a former aquarium owner, don`t go to Wal-Mart. Look to the local mom and pop pet store.

Remember, the Wal-Mart sales person makes about a dollar above minimum wage.

I only shop there for cat food.

I`m sure Wal-Mart sold you an under-gravel filter, gravel vac, air pumps, the works. with all the miracle cures for ick.

Water exchanges can be a shock to fish, try a 25% water change.

You really need to let the tank "cycle" a few weeks before adding fish, or just one. This establishes the necessary bacteria bed to deal with the nitrogen cycle and ammonia which is deadly to fish and can cause stress that leads to ick.

I assume this is a fresh water tank and the "sucker" fish you descibe is a pleco.

Tough little bastards and can live in toilet water.

Just take it slow, you really don`t need the rocks in the tank unless you keep ciclids, which I`m sure Wal-Mart also sells.

The lighting can also lead to a terrible hair algae out-break, until the tank is settled.

    Patience!

Marine aquaruims are the real challenge.

    Good luck!

    edited for syntax

  12. Avatar.

The 3-D was amazing as well as the wonderful colors. Eye candy.

The movie was an hour longer than need be and the younger children began to wander the isle towards the end.

Cameron relied too much on Aliens and special effects. Ripley, Sigourney Weaver was back as well as many of the Aliens props.

Sam Worthington who stunk up Terminator Salvation tried his best to leave his foul stench on Avatar cast in the lead role.

Zoe Saldana was great as the Na`vi princess Neytiri.

The movie was over-hyped, the plot a bit thin and the dialogue was full of bad one-liners but overall, a good movie for a cold winter day.
