  1. Y'all heard that Yardbirds studio outtake version of "Tangerine" that surfaced a couple years back? I haven't seen that one anywhere, including on the new 4 CD Yardbirds box set "Glimpses" that just came out...

Yeah. It's on YouTube. Called "Knowing That I'm Losing You". If I recall, it's almost the exact same arrangement, guitar solo and all. But with different lyrics. Plant kept "Measuring a summers day".

I really enjoyed hearing it, though the quality was awful.

  2. I'll never forget Chris Farley's faux interview with Paul Mccartney. Sometimes, when I do or say stupid things and I get frustrated, I remember that skit and laugh.
    Loved that one.

I met him once on the street very briefly. He was so approachable. I said something like "Hey Chris Farley" and we shook hands. He was like "Hey wanna go get a beer?" I was late for work, so I passed. Very cool though.

  3. Nah... we like it....

we just thought that it was REALLY you! ROFL

You mean the fake muscles? I wore that costume for halloween and my 2 year old daughter freaked out! Then I showed her my Thor action figure (displayed next to my Jimmy Page action figure) and she was cool with it. Now she thinks the action figure is of daddy! :D
  4. The Danelectro can be a very tempermental instrument (doesn't like to stay in tune).

I bet he just didn't want to take any chances with this once-in-a-life-time gig.

The transperformance was used to great affect on the P/P unledded tour for going from Kashmir to Black Dog and back.

The b-bender is kind of like having a wammy bar but just for one string.

In this way, you can play a chord and then 'bend' one note while the rest of the chord remains intact. It kind of gives a pedal steel feeling.

    It can be found on

All of My Love, Ozone Baby and I think Southbound Saurez.

As well as TYG live. Also when he played Layla at the ARMS show.

He used it much more live than on albums. But it was a telecatser with a b-bender.
