  1. 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards:

    Best Drama Series: Breaking Bad

    Best Actor Drama: Bryan Cranston

Best Supporting Actor Drama: Aaron Paul

Best Supporting Actress Drama: Anna Gunn

I said it back on August 14, 2014 that Breaking Bad would win the 2014 Best Drama Series (post #223).

Now I feel justification, validation and jubilation at not being alone when saying that Breaking Bad (may be) the Greatest Television Show in American History. Justification and Validation to any and all of those who (on this topic) have either ridiculed Me for saying that BrBa is one of the Greatest Shows in the history of American television. I know that Millions of other Americans feel the same way that I do about this Masterpiece. If you do not agree with Me, then disagree with the People(s0 that actually Voted for and Proclaimed that Breaking Bad is deserving and worthy of this Prestigious Award.

Congratulations to Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul and all the rest of the cast and crew and anyone that had a hand in the making of BrBa. You all deserve it.

Edited to add: Game of Thrones will have its Glory next year.

    AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I know this has been posted before, but this is one of my all time favorites. I just love the look of his face, that kind of sheer blissful look as if for that moment, the music is sweeping him off to another place. Gorgeous, gorgeous man :wub:

    He was thinking of me.....hahahaha

  3. what a load of horse shit.

'a hard days night' is considered one of the best, if not THE BEST rock music film ever made. it is even considered one of the top 10 films ever made by roger ebert, who used to teach a class about the film at northwestern.

if you prefer 'press to play' over 'pepper', well, that is your right, but in my mind, pepper owns one of the greatest songs ever written (a day in the life), which makes this topic moot...

i love paul mccartney and his solo music, have seen him several times and am a huge beatles fan. even paul would thank you for your careful compiling of statistics, but defer to his original band.

the best thing about broad street is JPJ...

edit to add: here is to the hope that 'horsey' is being sarcastic....

haha on this quote, wonder where this was said or quoted from??

  4. Very Nice and Cool post/video. Thank You!!!

I had read that Tony Hopkins sent a letter to Bryan Cranston and Praised Him and the entire cast and crew. I had not seen any video of this until now. As many of You know, I am one of the Greatest and Strongest proponents of Breaking Bad and the belief that BrBa will go down in American television History as One of the Greatest Shows of All-Time.

This just helps to affirm My belief that I am not wrong. Of course this is just My belief and Opinion.

    Thanks again for posting this.

oh I love love this show too,now I am watching Dexter, just started season 5

  5. I'm not going to say this is a "hot pic" of Robert but it's a photo of Robert and me last week with a guitar amplifier that I built which he had a play with.

Oh wow,how did you get together with him? Did you already know him?

  6. Yes, he has it. I've noticed that too. One more reason for me to say he's perfect!!! (and I don't think he was working out or something like that back in the 70s...)

    perfect is right

  7. Hi! On next Friday I will be in Pistoia (Italy) for Robert and Sensational Space Shifters' gig ...

    I can't wait, friends!!!!

I love his new song "Little Maggie" ... don't you?

There are a few others here that are going

  8. Clw ... a personal message for you: your LZ Forum mailbox is full and messages come back ... clean it so we can talk again ... many thanks!

    Have you a wonderful Sunday!

It doesnt look full to me??

  9. I think it's the lighting - whenever you see pics taken in natural light during the Zep period, he always looks really pale. I don't think he was really much of a getting-out-in-the-fresh-air-and-sunshine kind of guy then. More a "staying in a darkened room with candles lit and the blinds closed and a bottle / guitar / needle / girl / stack of esoteric literature" kind of guy. But there's lots of pics from much later on where he's very brown - I think he's one of those people who will tan very easily if he does actually let the sun get near him:

It is fantastic to see him looking healthy. But I think it's clear that the mind doesn't always recover as readily as the body. Like he said in a recent interview, "drugs do not make you one bit more creative". Badly translated possibly, but you get the gist. I really think that the stuff got to whatever part of the brain is responsible for writing awesome songs, and damaged it, permanently. It's tragic how many people whose talent really wasn't in need of any enhancement fell into the trap of thinking that the hard stuff was somehow going to do them some good. I think Jimmy was quoted somewhere saying that he "only got into heroin because I thought it would make me more creative." It really is evil stuff. It's never done anybody any good at all, ever.

I have a friend that saw them in Texas in the 70's,she stayed at the same hotel,JPJ was never around,RP and Bonzo were always down at the pool she said and later in the afternoon Jimmy would come out on the balcony and wave and go back in
