Im telling you this is the heaviest book I have ever picked up.  The Fed Ex guy put it on the porch and my neighbor brought it to me.  I thought it was explosives.

Hey dude, are you still out there somewhere?  The guy with the Jilipy from Utica NY that you were parked in Landover MD at the May 30 1977 concert?  If so let us know.  You are on the video in the time line, and I am sure that old Jilopy is in auto heaven.  Likely taken to the junk yard not long after the concert.  Its a miracle it got you there.  I mean, it must have been backfiring all the way?  In those days you had to gap the spark plugs and change the damn wires often.

Earth to Utica!!!!  PS, if you watched Escape from Dannemora, Joyce Mitchell was wearing a Utica shirt in there.  LOL.  You know, the blond whore that busted Matt and Sweat out of prison.

Back to the book.  GO BUY IT IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO YET!!!!  A MUST HAVE FOR ALL LED ZEPPELIN DIE HARD FANS LIKE MYSELF

Just curious,  I got the book for Christmas and my wife picked it up from B&N.

(It's very nice and sits on the coffee table)

It came Unwrapped without the poster like it was plucked off the shelf ( it wasn't - it was a special order).

    How did yours arrive?

    Thanks

  2. I just got Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin for Christmas.

My wife ordered it on line and picked it up from a bookstore in the USA.

She said the clerk was nervous when she picked it up who said it came unsealed and not in a box without her questioning its packaging.

    How does this book ship?

Do you think it was returned or opened in the store?

    Happy New Year

    Thanks

    Kevin

  3. Jay Leno during the monologue beginning his Tonight Show (on Monday, Feb. 9th) evidently caught the Grammys and asked the audience (paraphrasing), "When did Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin turn into the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz?"

They then showed on the screen a side by side comparion of the two (Percy and Cowardly Lion).

I took a couple of tries myself at their comparison:

Robert again was confronted with the inevitable question Sunday in the post-Grammy interview tent about his future involvement in any Zeppelin tour.

"How old are you, man?" Plant responded. "Because you look older than me. You try to do 'Communication Breakdown' in these pants."

Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant labelled Radiohead “crap” while out drinking in north London at the weekend, according to The Sun’s Buzarre column.

According to the paper, Plant was drinking with a woman and demanded that the music playing in the pub was changed.

Apparently Plant described Radiohead as “rhyming crap”, and also rubbished Red Hot Chili Peppers (whose music he likened to a nursery rhyme) before settling on Captain Beefheart.

Wow I didn't realize the controversy this story would generate here. I scan the internet and look for relevant stories and post them for the board. Generaly I don't comment on the accuracy, I just let the community decide.

Far be it from me to splash a little gas on this campfire I started............

One thing I do find funny if this story is true are the following lyrics..........

Catch the wind see us spin,

    Sail away leave the day,

Way up high in the sky.

    But the wind won't blow,

    You really shouldn't go,

    It only goes to show.

    That you will be mine,

    By taking our time.

And if you say to me tomorrow,

Oh what fun it all would be,

Then what's to stop us pretty baby,

But what is and what should never be.

Catch the wind see us spin,

    Sail away leave the day,

Way up high in the sky.

    But the wind won't blow,

    You really shouldn't go,

    It only goes to show.

    That you will be mine,

    By taking our time.
