It was Friday for me today! I try to do that most Friday's during the summer. Can't beat the weather and it's easier to head east for the weekend!

Anyone attend the Chicagoland shows this past weekend? Would've been mint to have been there!

^ Al, you would have liked the "DeadTunaBand" - who covered The Dead, Hot Tuna, and The Band. Unfortunately, they're not together anymore. Jeff, their bassist now plays for "Reckoning". Hot Tuna is still a great band to see - especially if it's just Jorma and Jack, doing acoustic sets. I don't think their shows are as good, when the get a lot of guest musicians on stage with them - it ruins their chemistry, and Jack definitely turns his volume down.
Thanks for that, jimmie! I'll have to keep an eye out for them. Wished I could've made it out to Chitown to see the Dead this past weekend. Last time I saw them was '95 a little before Jerry's passing.

Yeah, I've been to some of those places. Toomey's is a good time, if I remember. Hot Tuna is mint! Rat Dog, with Bob Weir is another.

I love The Dead. Smoke some hybrid Kentucky Blue Grass with California Sensimilla and they sound even better!

That's awesome! I have one heading to college after the next school year. To have everyone around the dinner table is something that should never be taken for granted!
