One of my favorites of the 73 US tour. I have played my Drag Queen Of New Orleans by Wendy last week.
No Quarter is great, though the main guitar riff is played without wahwah. The drumming on Dazed & Confused is remarkably hard & daring.
Recieved this silver 2 cd set back in '95 roughly "Live and Led Live" on a snowy night. The Flying Disc label had issues with speed times alot but all of the '73 boards they released back then which were the first sightings of most of these SB tapes back then still have more balls in the recording than anything to this day in my opinion. With another snowstorm heading our way tonight I think this one goes on once again.

Pure Blues original vinyl rip - I found it on the Black Beauty site. Amazing quality. SIBLY is just fantastic, as is the rest of the set. I don't think I have ever heard a better version of this recording. Mostly before this I had various versions of Mudslide and an old copy of Pure Blues, or Pb as it was called.
I saw on another thread where some folks were noting this this show as the best SIBLY ever. I tend to agree. Page is restrained compared to later versions, but the mood is perfect especially with the haunting organ. And this is peak Plant. He is just magnificent here - so much range and power.
The Graf Zeppelin release is an excellent 3 cd set.The rare lp "Pb" along with the audience recording is presented.Definitive possibly.

The GZ version uses the same source. A soundboard of this would be terrific. A holy grail for me, in conjunction with the FULL Osaka 29/9/71
Ive heard 929 so many times through the years Im more ready to hear 928 in sb fashion. The audience recording from the 28th aint all bad though.

Cobla and the Sanctuary label is what Ive always went to for this show.Any upgrades cant be much better unless a SB comes to light.

Denver Co. as I remember it.A good sounding clip from 73' is all that matters. But speaking of was a actual New Mexico 73' show tape rumoured to exist?

If I recall theres two audience recordings for this show. One maybe more complete than the other. Its been awhile since I listened to this show but the first silver release from the Cobla label "Custard Pie" has always been my go to version for this show. The channel fluctuations never really bothered me much while listening. One of the hottest shows ever from Zeppelin.

How does it compare with the Winston Remaster "Goodnight Vienna"?
Moonchild which uses Winston Remaster Im assuming maybe a bit louder than A Very Nice Night by EAP.They're both very close in sound.A show this hot is worth having a few different titles of.
Matter of taste as well.

Seeing these pictures made my day.

What was the original release for this SB from Hampton '71?
I remember Jim's Pick "Tarantura" and Antrabata Reference Masters "Inspired" back in '96.
Antrabata being a label set forth in place to outdo the original Tarantura label.
With a few of their box sets they very well did possibly.

Coblas 1996 release is still one of the best boots out there IMO.
