  1. Saw Indy 4 last night, such a disappointment.

I thought it wouldn't be too good, but I didn't expect it to be quite that bad.

The first half had promise, then as soon as they introduce that damn alien skull, it was all downhill.

The three waterfalls, the swinging with monkeys, the alien plotline all together=TOTAL SUCKFEST.

My boyfriend paid, so I didn't lose any money, but I demand Lucas and Speilberg give me back that 2 1/2 hours of my life.

  2. Not in this day and age. A few years ago that was the case, I remember Lara Flynn Boyle getting a lot of attention because she was too thin. But now, it's ok to be big and beautiful...

You can say that the media calls a woman with a size six figure fat, but you know as well as I do, that people in America are obese, and it's a not a good thing. We have one indulgence after another here. Promoting someone like Queen Latifa is not good for the country at all. Over-weight people are only causing themselves problems. Which is why schools are taking out the sugar and also is a reason why trans-fats barely exist anymore.

Boyle and Latifah and people like them are special cases. They are both extreme cases.

Let's take Kate Winslet for example, she gets called fat, is she? NO. She is normal.

And yes, the media STILL makes women feel inadequate, whether they are too skinny or too fat, its a no win situation. It's just as bad to be too skinny as it is to be too fat. Just because they are slightly above or below the "norm" doesn't mean they are not healthy. It differs with each case.

Yes, America is obese, and it's really not okay, we all know that.

  3. Are you kidding? Just look at your t.v screens. Look at all the current t.v shows and movies and magazines. What do you see everywhere? Women who are much thinner than the 'norm' or 'average', that's what. That's why so many women can feel insecure. A lot of them feel they have to be a size 8 or else they are worthless. People like you only perpetuate that kind inferiority complex that lots of women have.

I've gotta say, speaking from a womans POV, I completely agree with this comment.

I am a size 6 (American) and yet, media makes me feel like I am a fatass at times. But I have learned to ignore it and let it go. I am what I am, and happy with it.

I think women of all sizes can be beautiful, look at Steven Tylers daughters for instance, they are gorgeous, all of them, and all of them are above a size 6. I also think Angelina Joile is emaculate, but when not preggers, she is also emaciated.

Regardless, all of them are beautiful despite their different sizes.

American women, as well as other nationalities I am sure, are made to feel that if we are not below a size 4 (in American sizes), then you are overweight. Unfortunately not all women can learn to not compare themselves to what the media tells them they should be.

And let's all remember that eating right and excercise doesn't gauruntee a long healthy life. A very good friend of my families just died of a brain tumor, three weeks after she found out about it. She was 105 lbs, 5'4", and extremely healthy from the food she put into her body to the amount she excercised, but something else got her. Cancer is becoming all too common, despite how healthy you are.

  4. Call me dumb, but Jessica Alba just doesn't do it for me. In fact, I think she's over-rated.

    My all time favorite...angieeverhart.jpg

Aside from my girlfriend of course.

    Your image doesn't work!!!

Jessica Alba doesnt do it for me either, but I'm not a dude.

Yea, you best follow it up with the girlfriend comment.

  5. Hey Dudes, I'm going to jump on in with my girl crush. Natalie Dormer (Anne Boleyn on Showtime's The Tudors)

At first I thought she looked like a chipmunk, but then she grew on me.

    Nolip2.jpg

Too bad she is about to loose her head soon.

  6. You gave it a B? Are you crazy? that movie deserved a A as far as comic movies go. I'd say it was the second best comic adaptation since Batman Begins. The ending doesn't make much sense, as far as the comics are concerned. Tony Stark never revealed himself to be Iron Man, aside from the Civil War story line. Iron Man was always known to be Tony Starks bodyguard.

    Yes. B.

My picky film major self critiques movies too much.

Your just going to have to deal with it.

  7. Saw two movies last night:

Ironman: I thought it was pretty good too. The abrupt ending annoyed me. There is a scene after the credits, for those that don't know. Robert Downey Jr. can carry a movie....surprised me. He kinda reminded me of Wolverine at times. I give it a B.

Saw the first screening to the public of the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

The entire cast and director was in the screening as well, they hadn't seen the finished product yet. Much darker than the first. I hadn't ever read this book, so I don't know much about it, but it looked like Lord of the Rings with a younger cast. B+

  8. As I have proven before, and as you always prove, you aren't knowledgeable at all. You regularly recite bullshit from stuff like GNR's Behind The The Music, and various other trash.

I have already dealt with you, and I'm not interested in dealing with it anymore, so how about you stop trying to talk to me.

You one or more of 3 kinds of people:

    1. You are the guy who acts like this in public, pisses the wrong motherfucker off, and gets his ass beat the fuck down.

    2. Or you are the lonely little dude sitting behind his computer, talking a big bunch of shit, knowing he'll never suffer the consequences.

    3. You are legally handicapped, and people put up with you because they feel sorry for you, or because it is wrong to fuck with a handicapped person.

Now, stop talking. I can't tolerate your stupidity anymore

This has been a very interesting debate, although it gives me a headache. As does Axl's hair.

I have a feeling that you are wrong on all of the above mentioned 3 kinds of people. Easy to say those kinds of things about anyone on any thread.
