  1. Last US show. Oakland of 77. I know many don’t like this tour, but I’m a fan of it. I have most of the 77 shows. Whether all the shows were good or not, it’s always Zeppelin to me. And I don’t mind the long solos. I just wish I could have seen them at any point in time. I’ve seen Robert twice, JPJ 3 times and Jason 5 times. Never seen Jimmy sadly and missed the Page/Plant tours.
  2. I saw Saxon for the 3rd time on Friday with Uriah Heep opening. Both great. Both bands still making great albums. Saxon I think have gotten better and better with age. Here is my review of the show. https://diaryofanardentfan.com/index.php/2024/05/18/the-best-of-british-hard-rock-and-metal-uriah-heep-and-saxon-live-in-cincinnati/
  3. I saw Uriah Heep Friday with Saxon. I know Mick is the only one still alive, but the lineup he has are great and they’re still making great albums (Chaos & Colour and Living the Dream are favorites of mine. Here is my review: https://diaryofanardentfan.com/index.php/2024/05/18/the-best-of-british-hard-rock-and-metal-uriah-heep-and-saxon-live-in-cincinnati/
  4. Sorry I didn’t see the other threads but thanks for pointing them out. Yeah Guitarist Mick Box is the one original member of Uriah Heep that’s still alive, but he’s had a stable lineup for a long time. And singer Biff Byford is the one original member of Saxon (Guitarist Paul Quinn quit last year because he didn’t want to tour anymore but he is on two songs on their latest album), but again, Saxon have had a very stable lineup for many years too. Both bands are still consistently making great albums. I think Saxon especially arguably get better and better. I love their later albums Lionheart, The Inner Sanctum, Into The Lanyrinth, and their latest Hell Fire & Damnation. All of them really. They’re playing a lot of songs from the latest one too, as are Uriah Heep (their great album Chaos & Colour).
  5. Any fans of Uriah Heep and Saxon? I saw them both in concert last night and they were both amazing. Both still making great albums too. Here is my full review of the show. https://diaryofanardentfan.com/index.php/2024/05/18/the-best-of-british-hard-rock-and-metal-uriah-heep-and-saxon-live-in-cincinnati/
  6. Thank you so much! You never know about these things, but I’m glad they are legit. I’m sooo glad I finally got to see JPJ. Huge dream come true for me.
  7. Thank you so much. It was a lot of fun. I’ve seen Robert twice with Alison in 08 and Jason several times. Never seen Jimmy, sadly, but I did buy his Chris Farlowe record he and Chris signed when it became available on Jimmy’s website. And I found JPJ’s autograph on a solo show ticket a few years ago too. I was told by a fellow fan that it’s legit. I attached them both to this post.
  8. Hello, I’m Lucas. I just signed up for this forum but have been looking at it for many years. I’ve been a Zeppelin fan and of the guys’ other works for just as long. I wanted to sign up for the forum so that I could share my experience of going to Big Ears Festival to finally see John Paul Jones. Sadly, I missed him on his solo tours and with Them Crooked Vultures and other people, so I was not going to miss this. I was at all 3 shows and here is a link to my story about it. This website was given to me by my girlfriend last year as a birthday present. It’s a place where I can put all of my concert reviews and other reviews at. I’ve been going to shows since I was 16 in 1998 so it’s great to have a site to have all of it on. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and here is the link: https://diaryofanardentfan.com/index.php/2024/03/25/a-dream-i-never-thought-would-come-true-finally-did-my-big-ears-festival-experience-seeing-john-paul-jones-3-times-and-herbie-hancock/
