It's not that new but here's something I've been completely obsessed with for the last few weeks:
Portico Quartet:

More stuff I bought
From iTunes:
CD:
Vinyl:
And finally 7":
The National - Terrible Love
-
Bought this from iTunes today after having listened to a couple of tracks from Youtube earlier:
-
Not quite sure what I think of it yet. It's only my 2nd listen so far. Race for the Prize is definitely awesome though.
-
Bought these over the last couple of weeks:
Digital:
Dungen - Skit I Allt
CD:
Modest Mouse - The Moon & Antarctica
Elliott Smith - Either / Or
Elliott Smith - XO
-
On CD:
Radiohead - Amnesiac
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Thom Yorke - The Eraser
-
Elliott Smith - Either / Or
The second time I'm listening to this album on spotify. It's kinda surprising that I like it this much because his next album XO didn't really interest me (atleast on the first listen).
I'm pretty sure it will be one of my future purchases.

Is this the most recent remastered version? If so, I'm just curious how it sounds on vinyl. I have the original vinyl but haven't given it a spin in years. I did pick up the CD remaster and it took me right back to when I heard that record for the very first time. I'm no audiophile but I can say it sounds a bit crisper but still maintains it's Murmur-ness.
I was going to go with the new CD remaster but then stumbled upon an original pressing of the album on vinyl and ordered that instead. It was also cheaper than the CD .

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots

I was at a vinyl fair with a friend and picked up a couple of albums there and one from a record store later:
On vinyl:
The Beatles - Abbey Road

And on CD:
Radiohead - OK Computer Collector's Edition, my first Radiohead album and I have to say that I absolutely love it. Climbing Up The Walls

Have you seen this video from their newest record? If not, you owe it to yourself to check it out. In fact, I recommend it to folks that aren't even familiar with Arcade Fire. It's really quite unique in that it's an interactive video. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever seen anything like this.
That was impressive. Thanks for sharing

I've been buying quite a lot of albums lately.
In addition to those mentioned on page 71 , I also recently bought:
Arcade Fire: Funeral and Neon Bible
The National: Alligator, Boxer and High Violet
Midlake: Bamnan and Slivercork

This might have been mentioned earlier but I definitely suggest checking out The National. I got the latest album - High Violet two weeks ago and have been listening to it on average about 2-3 times a day. Bought their two earlier albums - Boxer and Alligator today.
Here's a few songs from High Violet

Pink Floyd - Division Bell

Hello, everyone! I recently got three Pink Floyd albums for Christmas: A Saucerful of Secrets, The Final Cut and The Division Bell. I really enjoyed A Saucerful of Secrets! The other two were just okay, nothing really outstanding. My favorite song from A Saucerful of Secrets is the title song. It really blew my mind, I was totally hypnotized after listening to it! I'd previously heard the live version from Pompeii, but the album version is a bit different. I think I like the album version better. I also enjoyed Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun and Let There Be More Light. I've only listened to each album once; maybe when I listen to them again I might like The Final Cut and The Division Bell more.
Division Bell is very good ! I've been listening to it a lot in the past few months. It might require a few listens before you get the hang of it. For individual songs from the album I especially suggest: Lost For Words (my favourite atm), Marooned (awesome instrumental), Coming Back to Life and High Hopes ofc.
I haven't heard the Final Cut yet but from what I've read many people think it's one of Floyd's worst albums
From the Pink Floyd albums I have only Saucerful has been a bit difficult for me. I like Let There Be More Light, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun and Corporal Clegg (that's a fun one ) though.

Uriah Heep - Very 'eavy, Very 'umble
My dad suggested it to me

I happen to have Mean Business on vinyl. Bought it a while ago, have only given it one listen and it didn't sound that impressive
-
The Doors - L.A Woman
Rory Gallagher - Live in Europe
Next album I will buy is going to be Them Crooked Vultures
