Jahfin
From Raleigh, NC News & Observer music writer David Menconi's blog: http://blogs.newsobserver.com/beat/index.p...p;tb=1&pb=1 Going going gone: Two Dollar Pistols Chapel Hill's Two Dollar Pistols are calling it quits. The announcement comes via a MySpace posting headlined Adios, amigos: It is with a heavy heart that the Pistols announce to their friends that after ten years of recording and twelve years of performances, the band is calling it a day in 2008. We're still booking a few shows-though not many-and we're going to try and make it long enough to have a "last show" blowout sometime later in the year. Keep an eye on this page or www.twodollarpistols.com for updates on the band's final appearances and what the individual members will be up to in the future. Very special thanks to those of you who have supported us over the years-we couldn't have done it without you. Come see and say Adios! For now, the Pistols are playing Raleigh's Berkeley Cafe Feb. 8 with Jason Ringenberg; and Feb. 22 at Durham's Broad Street Cafe. Meanwhile, Pistols guitarist Scott McCall will be joining Tift Merritt's touring band this spring.
