Everything blamed on Covid these days.  How about the inventory shortages on car lots?  My 2013 Chevy Equinox was totaled two weeks ago by a young girl driver who no doubt was on her cell as she barreled into rear of me on train tracks, scaring the hell out of me.  We just looked at Chevys and Toyotas on the dealer lot we like, and it came down to a Camry or SUV Chevy Equinox, 2022, new.  Blue.  Only 2 on lot.  I only have rental for another week.  So had to do it.  It’s AWD which we need in winter.  Hope you all are getting by.  I caught the damn virus well over a month ago.  Thought it might kill me first night.  The vaccines and the seat belt both saved my life on separate occasions.

I had a regular primary care checkup today...all was cool.
Upon checking out, the mid 30ish woman asked if my doctor had scheduled a followup.
    Me: "Yes ma'am, 6 months."
    Her: "It's sir."

Upon handing me on paper the date and time of my future appointment,
    I replied,  thank you sir."
She replied, " take it easy."

    Kinda fuckin' weird.

Did the sir seem like a real woman? Or was she just exercising ideological control over the doctor's free speech?

But we are a long way from Hitler.

That was the most hateful speech ever out of an American President towards fellow Americans. Not only was it full of lies against Republicans, it was disgraceful. JoeBama can be any of these:

  4. Speaking of FB

BREAKING: Mark Zuckerberg tells Joe Rogan that Facebook algorithmically censored the Hunter Biden laptop story for 7 days based on a general request from the FBI to restrict election misinformation.

P.S. I don't want the responsibility of your school loans. You went to college, figure it out.

  5. Yes, and imagine the outrage if a house was established the other way around? White violence, what a crock! Here is data from last year:

    https://reason.com/volokh/2021/04/24/race-and-violent-crime/

Blacks, which here means non-Hispanic blacks, were 12.5% of the U.S. population, and non-Hispanic whites were 60.4%. It thus appears from this data that the black per capita violent crime rate is roughly 2.3 to 2.8 times the rate for the country as a whole, while the white per capita violent crime rate is roughly 0.7 to 0.9 times the rate for the country as a whole.

i can convert it into flac so i would like that very much!

Why in the world would you convert an MP3 to flac? When an uncompressed WAV file is converted using lossy codecs to MP3, etc.  it cuts part of the sound spectrum off to achieve smaller file size. You can't add that back in. Once it is compressed to lossy, it is best to leave it that way.

Is trying to divide the country and start a war better. He is absolutely the most divisive President/Politician ever. And by far the biggest liar and he didn’t do anything with the economy.

There are many unfavorable things that can be pointed out in most of the 46 presidents this country has had. That being said, I think this administration has done more to gaslight Americans and their tendency to either redefine words or ignore historical meanings makes them more dishonest than the last. Just about everything Joe says, when he can finish a sentence, is not true; even when discussing his own personal history. There's plenty of articles on google to read. People may not have liked what President Trump had to say, but at least he engaged people and answered reporters questions, unlike Biden. He pledged transparency, and they are far from it. As far as the economy, the numbers speak for themselves. To semi-quote Reagan, "Are you better off now than you were a few years ago?" I think the answer for most is no. Personally, I would be surprised if he serves his entire term.

There is also the Detroit show on August 28, but it’s very poor quality and incomplete; I’d certainly consider the September shows as part of the summer tour (the Fall Equinox wasn’t until after New York shows).

True, I am just used to considering "summer" that period when the kids aren't in school.

That’s rich. How about just look at the article. You are absolutely incorrect. Just as all of the poorest states, and states that are most reliant on welfare are Red States. You can try and spin it anyway you want. Blue states take care of Red states. The absolute poorest, crime ridden, least educated states in the union are Red. How about you start posting facts. I easily can. My point is, it’s not red or blue. We are all citizens of the United States. But if we want to talk facts, look at economics, look at crime, and look at the actual facts, it is uncomfortable for people who lean to the right. I will also be clear, I’m not saying that the left/blue is better. I personally just feel the right is moving in a dangerous direction and like to put everything on the left and act like they are the cause. Let’s just for fun go back to 1990 and look at all that has happened. What metric would you like to use. I will gladly play along.

How about we all try and do better for each other. Rather then have this team mentality. It’s not the responsible thing to do. Or stay in your corner and believe all the bullshit that you are being force fed from all of the shit blogs, news sites, publications and programs you consume.

If you want to talk economics, social programs, crime, recessions, and really dive into into it. Let’s do that. It is easy to find and read.

That's really rich. I did read the article, thank you, and to characterize a whole state based on pockets of crime or other factors is not a proper characterization of the state. As I stated, these are urban issues, and all states can do better. It is unfair to characterize CA based on SF and LA alone. There is the northern part, central valley, and other regions where crime, economics, education, etc. vary dramatically.
