Man, the right can sure conspiracy. They are also without a doubt the best at calling the other party out for what their own failures are, as well as claiming responsibility for the successes of the other party, and they are 100% the best scare tactics, fear mongering.  Just so we are clear Murder rates and crime rates are higher in Red States. Below is a small snipped from an article from The Hill. But I suppose in a segment of the Right truth no longer matters. Just spread crap and blame the other side.

For the last two years, the nation has been awash in news accounts about soaring violent crime and murder in cities and states run by Democrats. That narrative is ubiquitous, particularly in conservative media, where Democratic mayors are routinely called out and excoriated for turning a blind eye to crime. That story is half right and half — to be charitable — lazy and wrong.

Let’s dispatch with the part that is correct. We have a murder problem in America,

Now, for the rest of the story. In a report Third Way recently released, we found that murder was much more prevalent in red states than blue states. That’s right. In 2020, homicide rates were a stunning 40 percent higher in the 25 states that former President Donald Trump won compared to the 25 won by current President Joe Biden. Of the 10 states with the highest 2020 per capita murder rates in America, eight of them not only voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, they voted Republican in every presidential election this century.

Mississippi — a state that neither conjures up weak on crime images nor Democratic officeholders — topped the charts with a 2020 murder rate twice that of blue Illinois, thrice that of bluer California, and four times that of bluest New York. The red states of Louisiana, Kentucky, Alabama and Missouri rounded out the top five and each had murder rates at least six times Massachusetts, four times New Jersey and just shy of twice that of Michigan. These blue states are home to the “crime-is-out-of-control” cities you read about daily — Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Newark and Detroit. They generate the headlines, the outrage and the political backlash.

Yet, media coverage is essentially mum about Lexington, Kentucky, which has set back-to-back murder records, has a homicide rate twice that of New York City and has a Republican mayor. Tulsa and Oklahoma City have Republican mayors, a Republican governor and murder rates that dwarf that of Los Angeles. Jacksonville was the murder capital of Florida in 2020 with its Republican mayor, governor and a stratospheric homicide rate that if it were matched in New York City would’ve added more than 1,000 murders that year.

And to top it off, the homicide rate in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) San Francisco was half that of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) Bakersfield, the largest city in Kern County and one with a Republican mayor — with overwhelming Trump support and not a whiff of flirtation with defund the police movements. In fact, the murder capital of California for six years running is sleepy Kern County130 miles from Los Angeles and 306 miles from San Francisco, the two California locales most often associated with the crime-is-out-of-control national headlines that have dominated U.S. crime  and political coverage.

Although it is off topic, I want to address one thing with this murder rate. First, yes we have a murder problem. However, it really isn't an indication of a state issue when you look at the population centers within the state. Missouri, for example, has a high murder rate and is a red state. HOWEVER, 90% of the murders are committed in KC and STL, both blue run. The counties composing those two urban areas are only 47% of the state's overall population, so I would say it isn't a state issue like Newscum like to portray, but an urban area problem, and most are run by democrats. And, anything will have a high rate in MS, there is only 2.9M people in the whole state - LOL. Most murders are in Jackson - blue run.

P.S. The right doesn't have conspiracy theories. Most come true, so we like to call them spoiler alerts.

    Carry on.

  2. Well, first off there aren't that many shows to pick from:

    June 28th - Shepton Mallet

    July 19th - Berlin

    Aug 10th - Hampton

    Aug 15th - New Haven

    Aug 21st - Tulsa

    Aug 31st - Milwaukee

I assume most wouldn't consider Oakland, San Diego, Inglewood, Honolulu, Boston, and New York as summer shows. Shepton Mallet is considered by many to be an all time show, so that would be my recommendation. When all fails, there's March 1973.

  3. Dr. Jha reported JoeBama cleaned his plate at breakfast and lunch and showed it to him (like the big boy he is). What a projection of power for the "most powerful man on earth." The only good thing for him is his approval rating won't go down any further because he isn't doing or saying anything.

I'll have to give another try to your TYG recommendations. I did try a lot, but none had the same raw emotion in plants voice like this one. I guess that's what I like in slower songs, to be overflowing with emotion. So wish they did I'm gonna crawl while all together. @shnflacwav do tell me if it's been a good revisit...or am I off on an island alone on this one. Always a possibility. ;)

I listened to 4/27 and 5/30 back to back a few times. I think Jimmy's playing on 5/30 is better, especially in the solo, which sets it apart for me.

  5. Oh boy, looks like have a J6 committee hearing fanboy. I'll take that tyrant, or the one governing FL any day over this feeble old man who can barely walk, can't finish a sentence or ride a bike; and backed up with a VP who likes to spew a word salad every time she opens her mouth. They are really an embarrassment. Hey, anyone heard from Sir Royalty Checks, Dr. Fauci lately? Is he still sick after all his covid shots?

Such a thorough review! I wish I got these a while ago.  I will definitely give them a listen, and possibly include it into my own Sets. I think if I post another version of this, The Forum might ask "Is he not done yet?", lol.  Super interested in you Gallows recommendation. Destroyer's Ten Years gone might be hard to beat. I've listened to a ton and nothing so far has topped the raw emotion Plant belted out that night in Cleveland.

I should note that I meant Zeppelin never performed those songs live. As for the soundchecks, with the exception of Fry's Night Flight that I did include, I found they all really lacked the energy of a concert performance, so I've left them out. They were more like rehearsals for studio work...to me anyways.  Page n Plant performed quite a lot of stuff over the years, solo and especially in their 95/96 tour...which I'm looking fwd to tackling next! True, I used stuff from Celebration Day, but technically they were billed as Led Zeppelin. :)

I am gonna give TYG from Destroyer another listed based on your comment.

  7. I am sure this was a labor of love. I did a similar type of compilation but took each studio album and re-created it in 2 versions - One with multi-track or SBD recordings from studio, soundcheck, or concert and another with audience recordings. Then the last discs were all the covers, and unreleased stuff.

Anyway, here are my comments with my opinion on some of the choices.

    Set C
Celebration Day - I personally prefer the 1971.09.04 Toronto version.
Gallows Pole - I think Ipswitch 1971.11.16 is probably is the better of the 2 complete versions in circulation.

    Set D
OTHAFA - Your pick is from '75. I think the Seattle one from 1975.03.21 is better.

    Set E
The Crunge - 1975.03.19 Vancouver would be my pick
Dazed - Hamburg all the way - 1973.03.21.
Heartbreaker - I'd pick one that is either unique (1973.03.16 Vienna) or have Page on top of his game (Offenburg 1973.03.24)
Thank You - I prefer the Southampton one for both quality and it is a littler more mellow version which contrasts with the BBC Sessions version you previously selected.

    Set F
In My Time of Dying - 1977.04.28 - Bonzo is a BEAST in this one.
Sick Again - St. Louis 1975.02.16 is one I'd pick if it were to keep it closer to the release date of PG.
WTLB - I would pick Minneapolis for the sound quality difference alone.

    Set G
Ten Years Gone 1977.05.30 Largo, MD or 1979.07.24 Copenhagen are better versions.
Nobody's Fault But Mine - Knebworth 1979.08.04 has to be the best version.
No Quarter - 1977.06.27 Inglewood, CA.
Over the Hills - 1977.06.22 Inglewood, CA

    Never played stuff
Candy Store Rock, Custard Pie, Night Flight, Tea For One have all been performed by Page/Plant in entirety
Plant has performed Fool In The Rain and Living Loving Maid and In The Light
There is an edit somewhere of the soundcheck of The Rover on YouTube. It pretty much makes a complete song.

Anyway, they might not be your picks, but I encourage you to listen to all the ones I listed above if you haven't.

  8. Well, I looked for occult symbols, secret symbols, Thelema script, Crowley symbols, and tarot symbols. I didn't find a match. I then went to Microsoft Word and looks throught the symbols you can insert under fonts Segoe UI Symbol, Symbol, Webdings, and Wingdings. Still nothing. Then I looked at the alphabet in different fonts, and look what I found in Bookshelf Symbol 7 font when typing in ee. 😁 Sorry, got distracted after that. Better ask Robert Langdon.

  9. Guns do not kill people. Laws do not save people from gun violence, look at Chicago. 200+ murdered so far this year by gunshot. The issue is the moral decay of our society. The gratuitous violence in movies, video games, rap videos, and the like. I would also say the erosion of the nuclear family and dare say, lack of God in whatever form in people's lives.

In March 2021, NTI partnered with the Munich Security Conference to conduct a tabletop exercise on reducing high-consequence biological threats. The exercise examined gaps in national and international biosecurity and pandemic preparedness architectures—exploring opportunities to improve prevention and response capabilities for high-consequence biological events. Participants included 19 senior leaders and experts from across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe with decades of combined experience in public health, biotechnology industry, international security, and philanthropy.
