  1. Hello all, Anybody ever seen this Jethro Tull version of Kashmir? They have a violin player with them that is quite good. There also appears to be an orchestra. phthah P.S. After watching this again, it doesn't look like it's actually Jethro Tull, but perhaps just Ian Anderson setting in with another band?
  2. Yeah, I agree with you here. These guys are all about the music, especially the guitars. However, their vocals aren't very good. Here is a good example of the guitar work they are capable of. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO9R1NBCyMM...feature=related or here for the vocally challanged part, though this one is kind of funny. I'm not sure what is up with the bubbles or Harry Carey. Since they are in Iowa there it doesn't make much sense. He probably always sings it like that. phthah
  3. Anybody ever hear of Umphrey's McGee? They do a pretty good version The Song Remains the Same. Here is a link. phthah
  4. Here's a few of my favorites. "We are eagles of one nest, the nest is in our souls" "I don't know what to say about it When all you ears have turned away But now's the time to look and look again at what you see Is that the way it ought to stay" "Wandering & wandering, What place to rest the search Where the mighty arms of Atlas, Hold the heavens from the earth" "Spend my days with a woman unkind Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine" There are so many good ones though. It's hard to choose! phthah
  5. Wow! When I first read your suggestion I thought no way, but after listening to him sing "Since I been loving you" I think you're right. He could pull it off.... though I don't see it happening.
  6. Wow! Great job on Achilles Steve! You totally nailed the solo! You have to bring this show to Kansas City! Any chance of that? I saw Zep in St. Louis in 77', so it would be great to see a recreation of that tour and clearly you guys have the chops Good luck in 09'. Rock on, phthah
  7. The main reason you never here Achilles Last Stand on the radio (IMO) is because it is 10 minutes long! I remember hearing it a few times on the radio when it first came out, but that was it and I have not heard it there since! Anyway, I have a friend who is a big Zep fan, but is not that crazy about Achilles also. I have had this argument with him as well. Personally, I think that Achilles is the greatest song of all time and Presence the greatest album! But that's just me. Of course, that is the great thing about Zep, they have so many good songs, that there can be a wide range of opinions o

Greetings Zep Fans! I just joined the forum and wanted to intoduce myself. I'm a huge fan of Zeppelin from way back. In fact, I saw the St. Louis show in 77'! I look forward to participation on these boards. Rock on everybody!
