Hi Steve!
I picked up the BCC2 release and noticed that Chris Blackwell is listed in the lyrics credits. Both Chris and Jason Bonham are listed with Four Sticks Music. Would you happen to know if it's the same Chris Blackwell from Robert's solo years?

I have a feeling Scott Swanson is going to chime in on these soon. Off the top of my head I believe Hypnotising Ways is an instrumental track from the Death Wish II Soundtrack (or sessions). That album was released on Swan Song Records in 1982. Me Love is probably a typo (All My Love from ITTOD). Agreed on When Day Is Done. If Scott doesn't post here soon I will see what else I have on file concerning these. Great question as always.
Thanks for the heads up Steve. Yes, Scott responded on R-O. I forgot that Hypnotising Ways was on the DW2 soundtrack. Learn something new everyday. It never hurts to ask!

I posted this on R-O but I thought I'd post it here as well. I was checking for information on the web regarding Led Zeppelin works and decided to check out ASCAP's search feature. While Lost In Space and St. Tristan's Sword are not listed, other registered works were. I checked and Embyro No 1 is listed with variation No 2 mentioned through the Publisher / Administrator Succubus Music Inc. which is a recent Publisher / Administrator for Jimmy. Upon reading the various lists pertaining to Led Zeppelin and it's members some interesting works appear. If I'm not mistaken I've already provided the list within the same thread you've referenced. If not I will post the list to this thread tomorrow. I do own at least 119 books on Led Zeppelin, bearing in mind that is BOOKS not titles, meaning for some books I have various editions and languages. I have over 800 magazines with Led Zeppelin/solo on the cover and over 5,500 magazine and newspaper articles on file.

I'm not sure if you've made any progress on the questions I submitted back on page 143 or page 144 (I forget which thread page) but I was curious if you know why for song writing credits in the film It Might Get Loud that "Whole Lotta Love" no longer credits Willie Dixon and just has the lads listed? Also in the TRB promo video the limo's pull up to a stadium, do you happen to know which stadium gig the limo's pull up to?
On a side note 119 books is certainly not out of the question. When I responded to the books thread, I did not include multiple editions, other languages etc. but my book count is roughly 50, and I can list them all. A listing of the titles would be cool to see though!

Thanks to my friend Rick Barrett I added a couple of new pieces to my collection. First for my ITTOD focus an unused ITTOD promotional t-shirt from former employee Shelley Kaye:
From the early days the letter from Peter Grant to Jerry Wexler which accompanied the artwork for what was to be Led Zeppelin's debut album. Rick is still searching for the frame, but I have the letter and matted display portion. This is the letter Rick refers to in Frank Reddon's Sonic Boom book.

Look at that ridiculous photo-shopped picture...
I do have photos of the interior and exterior of the MGD truck, but alas I do not have them with me at this time. It will probably be a few months before I get to them but I will post them as soon as possible. Most of the items on display
were on loan from the Brian Knapp collection. The full color promotional poster of Page/Plant posing with an MGD guitar
that was mounted under plexiglass on the left side of the exhibit is in my archive.

So far as I know only Robert has gone to Graceland, having spent the day there with his band on Sept 16, 1983 before playing the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis that night.

Thanks so much for your update. I did read that article about the "Wild Man" a while back. The vintage t-shirt photo (1977 Hobart, Indiana High School Yearbook Photo) with the iron on of Led Zeppelin In Concert reminded me of the movie "Heart Like A Wheel". If I recall correctly there's a scene where Anthony Edwards is wearing the same style t-shirt while sitting a table. I should have another round of questions to post up soon, on top of the ones I already sent your way in this thread.

Thank you Timothy for the kind words. Recently I was able to pick up an example of the Japanese promotional notepad for my ITTOD focus (sorry the images are a little blurry). It came packaged in a brown paper bag!
I'm gearing up for my next major piece of Zeppelin history which should be arriving soon. I'm not sure if I'm going to post an image or images of it.

Plant Attended Frank Zappa Gig on 4/19/88
"I attended a Frank Zappa concert at Wembley Arena in April 1988. Robert Plant was sitting at the mixing desk, very close to us. He listened to Frank playing Stairway to Heaven and Robert's comments were that he thought Frank's version was better than his and that he wished he had done it that way. You should give it a listen."

I thought I'd bump up some of my old questions to see if you found any additional information. I apologize in advance if I missed the replies to any of them. Plus, I added a couple of new ones.
Older Questions:
1.) When Robert Plant went on SNL with Brian Setzer there's a sign behind the left side of the drummer stating "band for hire". Would you happen to know if that was Robert's idea? The sign stated to contact Ahmet with a phone number. Obviously, the phone number couldn't have been legit and went to a regular switchboard (at least I'm guessing).
2.) The 1970 soundtrack to the movie Homer has Led Zeppelin's How Many More Times. I know the band is protective of their work but did the boys and Peter authorize this usage?
3.) Has it been confirmed by Robert (or any member of the band) that Hot Dog was written about the Texas groupie Audrey Hamilton?
4.) Did any other of John Bonham's bulls besides Bruno win certificates?
5.) Regarding publishing companies usually the band utilized Superhype Publishing Inc. and Flames of Albion Music Inc. However for Physical Graffiti it states that all songs were published under Joaneline Music Inc. Do you have any information regarding Joaneline Music Inc.? I know you stated that the corporate offices for Joaneline Music are (were?) 33-34 CHANCERY LANE in LONDON.
6.) I remember hearing an interview on June 7th 1991 on my way to a Billy Squier concert at the now defunct Sting nightclub in New Britain Connecticut and listening to a radio interview with Billy. If I recall correctly there was actually talk of Billy collaborating with Jimmy Page, but Billy was touring to support his then latest release Creatures of Habit and the talks fell through. Do you have any additional information regarding this? In addition, unless I'm mistaken Billy actually mentioned this in a second interview he conducted.
7.) Following up on the recent sale of a Jimmy Page used bow, can you confirm if Jimmy only utilized Czechoslovakia A. Prager bows or did he utilize various manufactured bows?
8.) Back in April 2009 in this thread there was discussion about a necklace Jimmy is seen wearing, and was curious. Didn't Chris Farlowe own / or still own a WWII memorabilia store? If so, when did Chris open / purchase the store? Perhaps some of Jimmy's articles of clothing / jewelry was purchased from Chris' store?
9.)Can you confirm that one of the proposed titles for The Firm's debut album was "The Royal Court Of China?"
10.)Can you confirm that Simon Kirke was in the passenger seat when Bonzo was pulled over for speeding down Sunset? The story was told by JPJ in the '90's?
11.)When Led Zeppelin was able to meet Elvis, Paul Rodgers was also at the concert and attempted to meet with Elvis. Did Peter or Clive ever explain why Paul couldn't also get backstage to meet with Elvis?
Here's some newer questions for you Steve!
12.)Regarding Kashmir and the ghost track of the orchestra parts. Has there been any informaiton regarding the names of session players for the left over ghost track that remains? Is the handwritten sheet music put together by JPJ that was dated November 10, 1976 been located since it's sale? Any idea who Chris was who drew up that sheet music?
13.)The early Led Zep postcard that was for sale years ago through Merit Adventures that was signed by JP and RP (the one with the picture of them on stage in June 1969) do you know if that could have been part of possibly an early fan club offering? The suggestion that JP and RP signed "a whole bunch" has me curious as to why "a whole bunch" were signed.
14.)If true at one time they were in Swan Song's possession has it ever been stated where the demos from Iron Maiden that were found in a filing cabinet went when the Swan Song offices were cleared out in 1983? Do you know if the band The Message had any demos at the Swan Song offices?

May 2009 issue of Record Collector. Besides the Zeppelin debut content there's a write up on Screaming Lord Sutch. Included is an image of Jimmy, with Jeff Beck and Sutch in the recording studio. Being a collector I found the Led Zeppelin 1 Rarities article intriguing!

Steve, thank you for researching and posting some of the list of names that were on the road with the band for the 80 tour! It helps at least a little bit with the claim that it was Phil's tour bag. Thanks Knebby for the vintage picture with the bag! I picked up the bag from Rockaway. I knew the bag was real but wasn't sure about the P.C. initials and it being Phil's bag. Research is key and I'm learning alot from both of you regarding the tour bag and the laminated pass. I posted images of the bag in the memorabilia thread. Just so readers can view the bag in question here's some images of Phil Carlo's tour bag:

If it helps they look exactly like the passes Dave has published in his 1980 tour stories.
You'll also find lots of references to Harvey when you re-read them.

...continuing on with Robert's original inquiries, here are two examples of 1980 Led Zeppelin tour passes which feature the emblem of promoter Harvey Goldsmith. Authenticity very much in doubt given no direct connection between the tour and Goldsmith has been confirmed. How 'bout a little help here, Harvey?

Here's my latest acquisition: Led Zeppelin tour manager Phil Carlo's Tour Over Europe 1980 bag:

Phil's initial's are in pen ink and have bled through onto the bag:
Considering what the bag has been through it has remained in good shape. There are stains on the bag but they do not detract from the piece.

Steve I'm guessing with a high percentage rate (basically 100%) that you own an example of the Iowa Hawkeye's '69 yearbook? For a mystery question who created the tapestry and was it utilized on other stops during the tour? I'll have to hunt the database and check the images. This paper memorabilia has to be one of the odder Led Zeppelin related items in my collection.Robert

I've got all sorts of items like everyone else. Shirts, bootleg vinyl, bootleg cd's, dvd's, magazine's etc. Here's a couple of shots of a couple of items I own.
Original artwork for the 45 Pink & Black single:
The artwork is now under protective conservation glass, as is this autographed ITTOD album:
The finished area of my basement has a Zep section and the walls have framed ITTOD ads. I have a display cabinet and rotate items. Currently in the cabinet is the original performance contract signed by Peter Grant for the Farx 1969 show, the withdrawn German 1st & 2nd, the First Cuts VHS, the ITTOD store counter display, and some other items such an unused Chicago '77 concert ticket for the date when Jimmy dressed in the Stormtrooper outfit, Jason Bonham's autograph, first Zeppelin bootleg cd (according to Robert Godwin). I try not to clutter it up as it detracts from the eyes focusing on key pieces. Plus two of the shelves have Star Wars prototypes. Here's a shot of the cabinet:

Do you have any information about the cd "The Howling Wolves - The Sound Of Clubland"? It states on the cover the it's a 4 track EP and I'm curious if Plant was involved in any of the material on the release. I'm thinking about looking for a copy to purchase and was wondering what type of information you have on it.
