  1. I'm pretty sure it'd be illegal if they played bootlegs.

Illegal because Sirius/XM members pay money to listen to the station.

If the station was non-profit, then I believe bootlegs would be allowable.

    ...

Well, then someone better tell Bruce Springsteen, because they play boots of his shows all the fuckin' time.I'm not just referring to a song here and there,I'm talking about complete concerts. At one time,I thought it was very peculiar, because Bruce is famously um,"finicky" about the quality of shows to release to his fans officially-kind of like someone we know ;) -but Sirius has pretty much carte blanch, in regards to what they play. From what I heard, they put up a pretty good sized chunk of change for the privilege.

Maybe Led Zep turned down that particular part of the deal.

  2. couple of days ago my little sister was listening to the song "Return to innocnce" by Enigma and i discovered that the drum beat on this song is very similar to John's drumming on "When the levee breaks"..

so I did a bit of research and apperantly I was right the drum beat of the song was sampled from the Led Zeppelin song "When the Levee Breaks"...

Listen closely to the latest commercial for Denny's restaurants.....

  3. Joe Walsh, Slash, Richie Sambora are some of the other more prominent players that use one.

I don't have a source to quote or post, but I remember hearing somewhere that that's where Frampton got his talk-box....from Joe Walsh.

True? I have no fuckin' idea...... :D

Joe Perry also used to use one on "Walk This Way" at Aerosmith shows in the '70s.

  4. Aug 23rd.

1980, US police killed an escaped drug addict who had shot one of their officers during a Grateful Dead concert. The event was celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Summer of Love.

So,now the Summer of Love was in 1960?

  5. Any other Southern/ Skynyrd junkies on here???

Im goin to the Skynyrd concert on May 30th in my hometown of Lexington, KY, and ITS GONNA BE SWEET.

The only thing that could be better is if Ronnie and the rest of the gang where there =(

R.I.P Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins, Leon Wilkenson, Steve Gains

    .....You forgot Cassie.

I agree with Jahfin;I'm a big fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd from 1973-1977;but the newer version, not so much.

I'll take it one step further (not that I'm speaking for anyone other than myself) but the way I see it is this:The two people that wrote "Free Bird" are gone,so what's the point?

  6. Oh mamma!!! Kiran...how could you? The screen is soaked now!!

And just a query...it says 43% on that bottle...is that the standard in America (I assume that's where you are...I can't remember)? Its only 40% here....am I missing out? :(

    Yes.

It used to be 90 proof (45%)

  7. See?

Don't forget to mention the fact that she also went so far as to ask an outside party to be part of said joke. :P

She went far,all right......and we both know where. :PB)

*Edited to add:Something else that made me happy-getting one of my Magic Sam CDs I ordered from Amazon today, and seeing that it's got a version of "Sweet Home Chicago" on it..

  8. ^not a thing? Not even the little joke that was played on you? It didn't even make you smile a little? :D

    Not anything at all?

Come on, I know that HAD to make you smile a bit....

    :lol::lol:

That was funny......and a nice way to start the workday-a good laugh, followed by a muttering under my breath.

I should clarify-I'm not in a bad mood at all,I just couldn't think of anything.

    I'm "exceedingly content". B)

Actually;I did think of something that makes me happy:Knowing that my wife is feeling better than yesterday;as evidenced by the aforementioned joke.
