  1. Hi Ana,

The genuine joy that comes through when you are seen on screen is one of the non-musical highlights of the film.  For me the picture of the hoodie and the modest claims you make (not claiming to have met and partied with the band, etc.) make me feel like this is all 100% true.

Sorry for the forum members who doubt your claims just because you didn't see the film until the 1990's.  As you probably know, most of the fans here are hard-core so to them the film is incredibly important.  For people that aren't obsessed with Zeppelin the film isn't well-regarded.

Welcome to the forum and be well.

There are some really good boots out there well worth a listen. Some in a quality good enough that they are practically "official release" level.

If you haven't listened to any as you don't have any but would like to sample some, reach out, I'll send some.

Many, many years ago in the CD age I used to buy CD bootlegs at local record stores but got burned once too many times on subpar releases and high prices.  Since they can be downloaded for free I probably should jump back in but don't know where to start.

  3. According to Wikipedia it's about 4 minutes 42 seconds.  But seriously I have always thought of Robert Plant's voice as another instrument in the band.  The lyrics for most of Zeppelin's songs aren't very profound, just kinda there which all you really need when the music and voice are that unbelievable.  Before anyone gets on my case Led Zeppelin is my all-time favorite band and it isn't even close.

  4. I'd love to hear the unreleased songs mixed and mastered but I really doubt that Jimmy Page is going to work on "new" songs or even add guitar parts to existing unreleased songs.  Not to be negative but I think we all need to face facts that Jimmy Page is unofficially retired and the chances of hearing any new major work from him are at or close to zero.  That's ok, he has created an amazing body of work and owes us nothing new.

The guitar solo sounds like a keyboard solo. Hands down. If you were to do it on the keys, it would not need to change. Could, but that's solid keys.

It is played with a Leslie speaker which spins while making sound, normally used with organs.

  6. I think it's a great song and it shows their range as musicians.  It demonstrated that they could have made top 40 pop singles if they wanted to but it just wasn't on their agenda.  I have read a few places that Jimmy Page doesn't like the song, feels it was very un-Zeppelin, and may even have turned down a writing credit.  But at a true pro he still turned in some beautiful, and understated guitar work.

Last we heard, Jimmy doesn’t currently have a Manager (like Curbishly) , so it may be easier to get some live tracks added at this time.
    We’ll see.

The point that I was making is that it is my understanding that there were no multi-track recordings made of the Japanese tour made because Jimmy's then manager didn't allow it.  If that is correct then there are no multi-track tapes in existence  from which to pull live recordings to include on any future set.  Maybe some soundboard tapes were made but that obviously wouldn't be the same quality level.
