  1. Nothing wrong with that at all...it's all good.

    Hey-Up,

I agree, nothing wrong with "Chad" or Nickleback liking/loving Led Zeppelin.

I must say that "Nickleback" are probably the Best ......WOW, hold on,

Nickleback are the Second Best Export out of Canada, as the First has to be,

Miss/Ms/Mrs/?? Pamela Anderson, she really is the best thing to come out of

    the "Maple Leaf" country.

    All the best,

    Hang-man

  2. Before I start, let me slip into my Nomex undies because i'm sure to get flamed.

Most of the polls i've seen around here about LZ's greatest songs usually include ALS and I have a tough time with it. I just don't think it's one of their better songs. Sorry, but to me it's gets boring and I wouldn't even list it in my Top 20 of their library. Even on Presence, which I think is one of their better albums, i would listen to Hots On, NFBM or Royal Orleans long before Achilles. In fact, i can remember skipping over the song to get to FYL and RO back when it was a new record.

Geez, I know i'm committing a felony here, but I got to get it out.

    Hey-Up,

I bought "Presence" on my 11th birthday in 1977. I got it home, put it on the "Grammaphone"!!! Achilles was a track that I could not stop playing, way back then. Having it then played Live in front of me, on the second date of Knebworth, at the tender age of 13, I always love this Song. :notworthy: .

As time's gone by, like alot of Followers on here & other Sites, we all have likes & Dis-likes, each to there own, hey?? Flying forward some 30yrs almost now, & close to the Anniversary to Knebworth, I have found/ or Unearthed a copy DVD of 04/08/79, Knebworth 1st gig, I was informed that apart from it being in 5.1 Dolby, & No Bleed Screen, so for a DVD that is reacthing its 30th birthday, i was told that I would "Piss my Pants" at the quality/sound/ & coverage of Pagey & Bonzo more than other copies, when I put it in the DVD player, Song list popped up, & Achilles was the first Track I chose to play.....At nearly Full Blast on a 42" plasma, WOW!!! what a why to start. Apart from reafferming what a Fu#=ing Excellent Song it is,

i decided not to pluck out certain tracks, I had to watch from the start, over 3hours of Uninterupted

"Pure Magic", faded memories started to flood back, & certainly replayed Achilles again & again.

Presence is an Under-rated album, but not in my Book.

Please look out for the DVD named "Past-Present- & Future", it really is a Diamond.

    All the best,

    Hang-man

Nice to see you all here!

    Hey-Up,

Lot of "Good-Lookers" out there :hysterical: , anyway here's MY BACK,

sure a few have seen it, & IT does belong to me, don't know if you would want to see the front though ??

    All the best,

    Hang-man

  4. I was at the 1998 Toronto show. It was awesome. The crowd was so into it and the boys did not disappoint. I have fond memories of that concert, truly one of the best I have ever been to. I am not so adept at the torrent thing, but did manage to track down a few good clips of the show from YouTube. Search "Page Plant Toronto" and you will find them. I would love to have the show in its entirety.

    Hey-Up,

Send me a PM, with your e-mail address, i might be able to help you track the show down.

    All the best,

    Hang-man

  5. "I fought my way ouy of the Darkness" is actually called "As Long as I Have You."

This is the only 1968 show currently in circulation. Why do I want more 1968 shows? Rumor has it that "Good Times Bad Times" and "Your Time is Gonna Come" were played in their entireties on the 1968 tour, either early or mid. The only way we'll ever find out if that's true or not is by getting the recordings.

Also, it makes no sense to me that we don't have recordings of more of the New Yardbirds/1968 tour when, unless I'm much mistaken, we have a recording of the last Yardbirds show. So where are the New Yardbirds shows?

They're out there... I guarantee it. We just have to find them. I think that will be a major goal of mine. Searching for the tapes of the 1968 tour and, God willing, finding them.

Here's a rare and wonderful treat: A complete, listenable recording of... what was it... Led Zeppelin's longest show at 4.5 hours... how nice would that be...

I really want The Object, as well. Obviously a replica, as the original is, at the moment, way too expensive. Although owning the original would be even better...

There are some great bids on Ebay, but those end in 8 days and I have to wait until my Birthday in May to even think about bidding on it... :(

    Hey-Up,

"I Fought my way ouy of the Darkness", may ACTUALLY be called "As Long as i have You", BUT on the Recording that i have (Mixing Desk Recording) it is ACTUALLY called, "I Fought my way out of the Darkness", Unless You were there in NOV 1969, i beg to Differ, ACTUALLY.

  6. A better sounding Bath 70 and Seattle 72 would be great. And more from the Spring 69 tour

    Hey-Up,

Ive got a copy of "The Fillmore West- San Francisco, 8/11/69", & thats a "Quality Rating A, Mixing Desk Recording" with tracks inc : I fought my way ouy of the Darkness- Sittin & thinkin- Train kept a Roolin- How many more times- Also a copy of the "Opening of the Second USA tour, 24/4/69. Both are pretty good, & Nice to have. I shall dig about to see what else i can find from this era.

    Later, Hang-man.

  7. While i wasn't be "Brutal" myself being "Hang-man", i did some more unearthing through my "Collection", & the "Boots" that Ive forgot about, & i found "Brutal Artistry, vol 1,2,3. On them i found a few tracks, that some of you might not be familier with, some of you Might.

Vol 1, has two "Unreleased Tracks, one of them Instrumental".

Vol 2, has two non-listed songs " Midnight Moonlight, & Swan Song"

Vol 3, has two non-listed songs " The Window, & Calling to You (Glastonbury)", but it also has listed

"Midnight Moonlight & Swan Song" as Studio........

Can anyone Shed ant "Light" on these??
