Just got back from watching "Oblivion" (the one with Tom Cruise in it) - cue "Ramble On"....(cue cheesy smile on my face when this happened)
....and is it just me or is Zeppelin now a little more lenient with every other movie using their songs now?

G'morning, Plantaides and stragglers alike!
After much tossing and turning into the wee hours of the morning, I have finally decided on my (un)official titles for His Royal Golden Godness
Chief Executor of HRH's Shoulders and Arms (responsible for daily massages etc. etc.)
CEO of The Official Knebworth Shirt (where it shall be specially dry-cleaned by yours truly)
Chairlady of the Neck Appreciation Society
Head Caretaker of That Area Where His Hand Seems to Gravitate Toward (duties will be happily shared with other Plantaides after thorough inspection by yours truly)

Ladies - I come to this thread to check out any recent or great updates of pics of Robert. Please, is there ANY chance you can keep your chat and drooling stuff between yourselves? Honestly sometimes there are no new pics,just chat and quotes. Please? Am asking you all respectfully.
Fair enough, but just from the title of this thread alone, it's natural that the 'drooling' posts etc. etc. are going to be abound plenty. There're rarely any new pictures to speak of, and old ones keep being re-posted anyhow. *shrug* So we're going to talk about whatever is put up here and have our fun with it. Folks who don't want to follow the conversation can always choose to skip over them and go straight to the images.

Did Robert ever work out? Does anyone know if he hit the gym and such back then? Or was it all just genetics and farming and dancing around the stage that gave him such abs (and buns)?

GQ: After all these years, how on earth have you managed to keep your hair like that?
Robert Plant: Well, I don't know. We could be quite serious about it. I just have been very lucky. My mother was a gypsy, and she had a lot of dark blood in her, and her hair was very, very thick—she couldn't even get a brush through it. So I have been very fortunate. And every time I go to cut it off, hairdressers refuse to do it.
So, maybe his mother was a gypsy then, and that why he has all his curly hair?Thanks for the link! Would love to see a picture of his mom...or even his dad! So we can thank them both for producing such a fine specimen.

Haha! This reminds me of that interview Robert gave back in the 80s, when he spoke about his decision to cut his hair and that no matter which hairdresser he went to, no one wanted to do it!

Oh I second the idea of putting up a collage and setting it up here so we can see the timeline/growth/different styles over the years.

It is naturally curly as seen with his teenage pics - though it looked pretty thick (as if you couldn't get a darn comb through it. Oy)
I'm sure he must have tinkered with hair products during Zep's heydey (and later) - I believe some groupies' accounts relate to Plant (and Page) spending so much time on it.
But alas, I am not a hair expert either. Maybe someone else will have a better answer for you.
