  1. called garage 9.30, they said 'drop it in, we'll check it over, might even be able to fix it today' (this has never come true in the past), drop it off at 12.30, long walk home with bags of emergency grocieries from crap supermarket because no car to go to the good one, phone rings at 3.30, 'good news its fixed', long cold walk back to garage, bill for £93.82 (i had guessed £120) nice warm drive home, couldve done witout 2 walks in the same day but WTF i need the exercise, Happy Old Shep :cheer:

  2. The thought of having to pay for car repairs.

me too, i fired up the motor yesterday and started to reverse, something didnt feel right, whn i got on the road the steering was really heavy and so i went down the road and i had to really pull on the wheel to steer, lucky i'm a muscle-bound adonis otherwise i would have crashed so i went back home but wow it feels expensive

  3. Thanks FITR, i don't usualyy eat that much in one go but it's fun now and then, but sadly i could only manage about a qtr of the cake. I've hidden the rest, cos if wifey finds it she will eat it all. I left the empty box on the work surface in the kitchen so she thinks its all gone, but in fact it's on top of the wardrobe, lol.

edit, Tunnocks Caramel Wafers, go to Aldi, £1.29 for 8

  4. well FITR I dont like nuts in choccy, and you can get solid choccy or toffee anywhere.

I didnt' sit up all night last night eating crap for some reason, first time in ages i haven't done that, so i was pleased to wake up today feeling very very hungry. So i just ahd a very big brunch:

1 . some spahetti bol sauce with two small baked potatoes, after that i was stil hungry so

    2. two sliced bratwurst and some chorizo and mushrooms, fried, then

    3. two soft sweet waffles, and finally

    4. a choccy santa off the tree and a Tunnocks Caramel Wafer

and that was early an hour ago so now i'm eyeing up a Lyons 'french sponge sandwich' with jam & buttercream, fackin luvverly, slobber....

  5. some of you guys need a girlfriend. hitting on all these young ladies here. but maybe they like that ;)

how is it hitting on!? seems like just complementing to me, and maybe the girls do like it? its a brave thing to put your picture up on a forum espceially if your're not not very attractive.

  6. i am unhappy about the British Nurse who appears to have killed herself over the recent Aussie bogus call to the hospital where The Duchess was staying, I'm not unhappy about the Aussie pranksters because everyone is fair game in my book, but what pisses me off is that in this day and age, anyone could be so stupid to take their own life over something so trivial. All over the fucking royal family for fucks sake, what a joke

  7. ^ Yes, true about the fresh produce, great value, haven't seen those cookies but then I havent been looking for them either, will do next time.

Aldi wasnt too financially ruinous this time, only £29 but then we went to Poundland and spunked another £38, WTF its xmas, ho ho ho

  8. We are going out to Aldi now to get some choccy tree decorations and some candy canes too that they advertised on TV last week, havent got around to it untl now so i hope they havent sold out, the only problem with this is whenever my wife orders me to go out with her and buy 2 or 3 cheap things she always ends up bullying me inot dropping at least a nifty on other complete crap.
