  1. ^^

I was taking the ferry to Vancouver Island some years back and the boat tilted a bit and a little old lady fell down. People were looking at her on the ground so I went over and put my hands under her armpits and helped her to her feet. I remember she had a big old coat on and her armpits were warm and damp. :o

Makes me think twice about helping someone up now.....

  2. OK. What is the official date of Canada Day? And is it as big a celebration there as the 4th is here? Do they go nuts with fireworks? Or will the mounties come get you?

Canada Day is July 1st.It's probably a bit understated compared to your July 4th. Myself, I'll most likely say a few 'please and thank you's'. Help some old people cross the street safely. Stuff like that.

  3. Those "Black Bloc" welfare-bum losers need their freakin' heads bashed in for the damage their doing to my Toronto.

    Grrrr.

    Hi Jag

I can't understand a thing you say because your avi is really a distraction.

  4. If I may add, local legend has it that if the Canadian beaver see's it's shadow, spring isn't the only thing that comes early.... Heyohhhhh!!!!

  5. Don't think it will happen with Shatner but there will be many other names thrown into the ring as well. I just hope that whoever it is, it's a qualified person and not some politically motivated appointment. Given the state of Canadian politics, we'll need someone who understands the role of GG and all that goes with it.

Harper's an idiot! Michelle Jean is a great governor general. Sexy too!

  6. Sweet sassy molassy is what my grandmother would say in polite company when something like "motherfucking piece of shit" was not appropriate. And while I use cuss words every now and again, I do remember that anybody can read the blog regardless of age, so I try to watch myself.

As for putting a link in my signature, I'm wary about that. I don't mind comments from non-Yankees fans, a couple of my regulars over the last 3 years have been fans of other teams, it's just that there's non-Yankees fans and Yankee Haters™, the latter of which are not tolerated. I don't know which of the two groups resides here.

I am glad you checked my site out, I always appreciate new visitors. You can leave comments if you want underneath entries, you don't need an account there to do so. Just a name and an e-mail.

I just checked your blog out also Liz.... Really nice work. Your personality shines through. B)

    Great smile too...

    :)

  9. How's it going "Babs?" WOW, you must be a good ass kisser because it was anything but what you just said! It wasn't my fault that I was hired as the new manager! Tell that to upper management, they were the ones that made that decision, not me! You must be one of those types that blame things on people when its not even their fault. I resent what you said! ROCK ON FOREVER!

    lol

  10. How's it going everyone? I hope that everyone's Monday has been a very happy one. As for me, today was one hell of a first day as supervisor in my unit. The problem wasn't me assisting my co-workers and leading them with making the right and proper decisions. Nor was it the great pot luck and my subordinates with very happy faces that helped make my day better than it usually is. The problem went very deep, I just wished that my former supervisor would have been happy and takened it like a man rather than show the display of behavior that he demonstrated in front of everyone throughout our whole building.

I can't say anything bad about my former supervisor, had it not been for him, I would have never completed my knowledge and became the complete supervisor that all of my subordinates knew that I could be. I just feel so hurt inside because after everything we went through, he would just throw it all away and turn on all of us, mainly me. I saved him from being terminated on three different occasions when upper management really wanted to terminate him. As his lead clerk, I was there for him on many occasions when he was about to fall apart. He confided in me on many occasions when it was extremely hard for him to open up to anyone else at work. My former supervisor and I once had a pretty good working relationship. I also admit, my former supervisor saved my ass a few times when upper management was pissed at some of the things that I did to win many cases. After all of these years and all of the time and hard work that was spent and invested in our unit, our friendship has to come to an end just because he does not want to work under me as a subordinate. As a result of his unprofessional behavior, upper management has chose to transfer him to another unit in another building.

After my former supervisor left, there were claps and cheers for me when all I really wanted to do was break down. My subordinates all gave me a pat on the back and told me to let it go and lets move forward. They also stressed how much that they need my guidance which really made me feel good. They are all right, this is our time now, it is my responsibility as their supervisor in leading and assisting them in making the proper decisions when they are analyzing very important accounts. I now realize that many people are now counting on as well as believing in me to always be there for them and I promised them that I would do my very best in doing that.

All in all, it was a much better day thanks to the undying support of my subordinates. They knew what kind of day that this was going to be. ROCK ON FOREVER everyone!

    I'd be pissed too!

The guy calls in sick and you throw parties everyday and have playtime with your co-workers and basically turn everyone against him.He get's healthy and comes back to work and now you're his new boss? Played him for the fool you did.....We just get your Utopian workplace stories when really you probably threw the poor bastard under the bus ROCK ON !!!!
