Born to Please 1970-09-19 probably my favorite '70 show, WHAT A SETLIST! Out on the tiles, both a WLL medley AND a HMMT medley, Gallows pole, killer acoustic set.. It's just a amazing show, decent audience recording, would kill for a soundboard though, if you haven't listened to the show do it now!

I like the studio solo, although I'd have to go thru a lot of live ones I'd not heard so far. I've always wondered why the solo in almost every live version was delayed a couple of beats/bars/stanzas as opposed to the studio version. I never got used to that.
What delay do you mean? I know it took him a second to switch over to the other neck sometimes if that's what you mean

There is no "Best" Of 1980 - only "bad" and "even worse".... !!
Now that's pretty damn harsh! Parts of the tour is pretty damn amazing, I put Zurich up there with some of the best from the 77 tour, easily

Probably the BBC-recorded version (June 27th, 1969).
I have the BBC Sessions and that's a great one! Definitely up there
How about the one from December 6th of 1969? Or the one from October 10th of the same year? Those are my favorites and both are well worth the trouble of seeking out!
Listening now and how have I not heard about this before?! It's tremendous! Thanks

It seems like most of the versions of HMMT are cut for some reason or another. I like versions with the great medley jams, before WLL took that mantle. 4/27/69 at the Fillmore West comes to mind as a favorite.
Yeah that's a real shame, I prefer HMMT with the medley over WLL with medleys, feels more glued together IMO

Hey all, first post here so you're welcome to shout at me for making dumb mistakes but I want to know what your favorite performance of How Many More Times is, it's my favorite Zep song(making it my all time favorite song) and it's always brilliant live.
My favorite version of it is probably from 3-17-69 in denmark but I'd be interested in what you think!
What show or live song are you listening to now?
in Led Zeppelin Live

Oh that's awesome! I can't understand why it's not mentioned here more, I think it outclasses pretty much every other '70 show, even blueberry hill and Montreux!
It's sooooo good
