I prefer to talk about the music side of things, but if you want to go about someone's personality, cool... I'll respond to this later, I don't wanna put anything out and take what someone ELSE would say.

I only skimmed through this, I'm a drummer of 23 years. As a teenager, I'd play "Achilles Last Stand" a lot because it's so fun, lots of changes, things to remember, and I always wanted to play things note for note - at least until I learned it, and then I could change it to fit my style.
As for feel, I think his best is "Stairway to Heaven" - especially when he's on the ride.. Listen to those ghost notes, the playing the snare... perfect.. I don't like the robotic feel of Neil Peart. There's a lot more to dynamics and feel than starting quiet and getting louder. You can play 20 notes at different volumes, and hitting the drum in different spots to give a different sound.

Yay!

I have a simple test -- I listen and whatever moves the most, whatever is soothing to my ears, heart, mind - wins..
I like Hendrix, but I rather listen Jimmy play. I think he's the greatest guitar ever.
... going to listen to "Achilles Last Stand" - so much emotion, it's too much sometimes, so much greatness for over 10 minutes.. I wish I could thank him somehow.

I know he said he was his favorite, but I find it interesting that his playing is nothing like Keith's.

Neil sounds nothing like Keith.. Bonham seems to have been his biggest influence, whether he wants to admit it or not..
Besides Bonzo, Moonie, Buddy, I love John Densmore - great feel. Ginger was a big influence on Bonzo, and I also like him.
Nice to have some fellow drummers around! I should check out the musician page!

Well, they did play "Achilles Last Stand" which has 3 guitars at least.
I wish certain songs were played live, but the little annoyance is Plant's moaning...
