Hey Charles, what league does Ottawa FC play in?  Are they Toronto's B league team?

Orlando City SC - 3 points - play at New England this Saturday! Go Lions!

Ottawa Fury FC were part of the NASL division 1, but wanted out (and rightly so)  into MLS. MLS wanted them in the 1st division (but not now - MLS was not ready for additional expansion yet) but there was some internal politics so they were allowed into MLS but had to agree to division 2 status (so they set themselves up as Montreal's team) . MLS has said if Ottawa Fury FC continue to perform well when it comes to expansion of division 1 they would get in at the point. But the MLS Division 1 doesn't want to expand too quickly (only so much money to go around and costs and so on)

If I had my way, NASL would simply merge with MLS and at that point North American footie would be ready to go global

I am going to have to follow a team in that League. I will go for a winning one in that. Seeing as my teams in Sports i follow never win a thing.

hahahah - welcome to my world...Ottawa Fury FC is one you can't go wrong with - they have these hardcore fans who come out to watch games when it's -20 Celsius We got the final 2 seasons ago, but lost... Bank Street in Ottawa is the place to be when the crowds are going in or going out from the match.

This was one of the highlights of my life:

Saw the Cult at Sheffield Leadmill in May 1984 when they were still playing stuff like Christians in among the Dreamtime songs. They started with 83rd Dream and the most dry ice I've ever seen! Then again at the Leadmill in September that same year, when Resurrection Joe came out. Nigel Preston played fantastic tribal drums at both gigs, shame they had to ditch him. Saw them next at the Octagon in November '85 on the Love tour - the barrier collapsed at the front of the stage and Duffy told a few yarns while it was fixed! That was a really good gig - even if it did finish so late, I had to walk the 8 miles home! In hindsight, the mix of rock, post-punk and 60's psych elements they'd got at that time was almost a proto-grunge thing - same elements, different outcome. Last saw them on the Electric tour in March '87 - by which point they were almost a straight rock band. Duffy used some of his old guitar sound, so the new songs weren't quite as stark as they sounded on the album, but there were a group of punkers off to the right of me boggling at the guitar solos and wondering what the hell had happened! Astbury kept announcing songs in a fake American accent, which wound em up even more! Brilliant. Anyhow, them's my Cult yarns.

If you like tribal drums  check out this sweet tune:

I feel sorry for Arsenal as a whole. Fans,Players and Arsene Wenger. They were giving it a damn good go tonight. Any hope they did have was blown away by the worst officials i have ever, ever seen. I admire Arsenal FC.

It was one of the more painful breakdowns to watch to be honest - I don't have much luck when it comes to my sports teams

Myles Kennedy: None of the stuff I Did With Led Zeppelin Was Recorded, Nothing Will Ever Be Released

Back in 2008, Myles was briefly involved with Jimmy Page, john Paul Jones and Jason Bonham.

As you may or may not remember, Myles was rumored to be the new singer of Led Zeppelin back then, but the whole thing ultimately turned out to be just a side project that never materialized.

Anyhow, Myles told The Aquarian : "That was like the ultimate Rock N' Roll Fantasy camp! But there was nothing officially recorded with that. So, there will never be something officially released.

"There were more jams than anything. We got together and spent time in the room together jamming their back catalog and there were two songs that they had or riff ideas that I sang on top of, but that was about it.

    "Nothing was officially recorded."

I would pay a lot of money to hear those tapes of the 2 song ideas

Finally got to the bottom of what their problem is, They are friends with our former neighbours who quite frankly are scum. Nobody likes them. I saw them all chatting away and put 2 and 2 together. I do not see them much now. When i do they still do it. I ignore. With what they do in their lives, This is not saying much but, I am a waaaaay better person than any of them.

Sometimes it's easier to just keep to yourself instead of dealing with people.
