People new to bootlegs usually prefer soundboards because they're closer to the dynamics of a live album and are easier to focus on. In time you'll learn to appreciate the realistic sound and authentic atmosphere of audience recordings. You really have to imagine yourself being in the crowd and not just focus on sound clarity.

I'm one of those people that much prefer soundboards. There are a select few audience recordings that I can listen to, but they have to be really clear. I have yet to lose my "soundboard ears".

My guess is as "Seastory1945" because sometimes when you buy sth a business card is enclosed with "AirRaid" on one side and "Seastory1945" on the flip side.

I really wish he would "price match" his prices on Yahoo auctions. It would be the difference between me being able to order three titles this week instead of only two. Hahaha

Yes, I use the Buyee service to buy from the auction site - works fine but they declare full shipping value so for anything over $25, I generally expect to get charged VAT @ 20% plus a handling fee once it arrives in England so often there's no saving on using the regular providers who charge more but help avoid the fees.

I actually bought 2 copies of the box set talked about above, separately, and they both came in under the threshold for VAT/fees so happy days - this is when they were $25.

Sometimes there are items sold at big discounts which even with the VAT and fees paid are way way cheaper than the usual suppliers.

There are three items from the same seller that I'm interested in that are selling for around 40 usd each. Just wondering what it's going to cost me in total.

This set reveals two things....1) It costs EV next to nothing to actually make these CDs, if they are really able to produce 15 pressed/screen-printed CDs in a custom box with inserts all for $20 retail per set. And 2) Even if the content is already freely available for download online, there will STILL be customers willing to pay for the bootleg. In fact, the set might actually be more attractive to buyers if the customer already knows that it's good. There are plenty of bootlegs that were limited to 100-300 copies that only sold out AFTER they had been posted online. I've seen EV/Graf/Tarantura CDs on sites that stay up for sale for weeks, and then immediately get sold after the show appears on Dime.

I've been buying bootleg CDs for as long as I've been buying CDs. I much prefer having physical pressed copies than having downloads or CDrs.

There's printing on each disc by year. All 15 are stacked with a plastic disc protector plus paper backing both top and bottom wrapped in hard plastic to keep it together.

    Excellent!!! The excitement builds!

Congrats... Down to two in stock. Good little compilation when you don't want to break out a particular show.

Is there not printing on the discs? Is it hard to sort out which disc is which?

Always thought it stood for What The Hell Twins? Other than that, don't know... :)

As of today, there are only five copies left and I hope you get one of them.

Looks like I got one! Got the invoice, paid for the set and have a tracking number!

I'm really excited about receiving it. Pretty sure it's going to be on constant play when it arrives.
