This is great. Some initial thoughts:

    1. A LOT of thought and love went into this and kudos to everyone involved. It's a musical and visual love letter. I almost teared up a couple times.

    2. When the camera first panned to the pic of Jonesy making him look Christ-like, I had to chuckle. Pretty clever. Later in the video, the camera pans back to the same photo then shows us the Mona Lisa, which also made me chuckle, as Jonesy's rocking his typical Mona Lisa smile in the photo.

    3. There are a TON of Easter eggs in this thing, which is putting my inner detective into overdrive lol. I NEED to know what that bartender is saying on the phone (also, wonder if he's meant to symbolize Peter Grant here?).

    4. Everyone does a great job, and the drummer in particular is fantastic. I also love that the guitarist did his own thing with the solo, while still sounding very Page-like, and it  works beautifully.

    Wonderful comment my friend.

Any of you yanks watching? 😛

If not, you really should give it a go.

It's not that different from baseball.

I'm hoping the San Francisco Unicorns win, my favourite player is captain,  Aaron Finch.

    Love your avatar

  3. Get some good headphones and crank this gem of a recording and show and remaster. The left and ride side shine!

Plant's voice on Sick Again? HOLY!

Stomp is a great tune to really hear what Steve did. It is a killer version and sounds amazing.

Steve is King, all hail Steve.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. One of my other favorite bands from the early '70s is Jukin' Bone. Similar story to Dust. Two excellent but under appreciated albums and then they broke up. At least their cover art was better than Dust's.

Oh I love what I hear. My life needs more "new" music like this. This stuff just makes me happy. Hey Steve, thanks brother

Glad you like them. The bass player was Kenny Aaronson, who had a good career after leaving Dust. The drummer was Marc Bell, who as Marky Ramone went on to become the drummer for The Ramones. And the guitar player / singer was Richie Wise, who went on to produce the first two Kiss albums. Too bad Dust isn't better known. I'm guessing the atrocious cover for their first album didn't help.

Thanks for the info Steve. I LOVED this album.

Like taking an audience recording of 6/25/72 and making it sound like the official tracks from that show on How The West Was Won at the press of a button? If so, what you're asking for doesn't currently exist, at least publicly. However, a form of AI has made it possible to break songs into the component instruments, which then can be used to turn mono recordings into stereo mixes. This is particularly useful on soundboards, and it's what I use to remix things like the sample below. There's still a lot of manual effort to remaster the songs after they're mixed to stereo, so it's not nearly as simple as asking AI to do all of the work for you. However, it lets us do things that were not even possible five years ago, so it's incredibly useful, just not perfect. Yet.

    Steve knows. Nuff said.

    Damn this sounds glorious!!!!

Not enough people talk about Jimmy's tone. This is LP butter.

Thanks for the nomination my friend. I agree that Bonham saves those songs. But sometimes depending on my mood Presence will become my favorite album. I have been trying to get my daughter into all of their albums of course, but I routinely make her listen to ALS, live or in the studio.

Have a great night. I really appreciate the post.

Cheers my friend from the mountains of Quebec

  8. Cause this was the first Zep bootleg I ever got my hands on, records came in a beige plastic carrying case, I download every version I can. Just compared the 6 I have and Chairs version is the best and clearest recording of them all. By far! This is a gem of a recording and show.

    Thanks Chair.

I'm sure an audience recording must exist but I don't have it to offer. The majority public opinion is he pretty much blew his voice out by mid-1973.

He remained great afterward, but his voice was never quite the same.

'75 and '77 Plant is cracked thunder. So powerful and so human. With the band driving him every night. Zep glory.

Hello Sir, man, that is tough. It depends if it is studio or live. And the truth is, there isn’t a song I don’t love/like. When I say I am consumed by this band, I truly mean that. I suppose there are a few songs that are not my favorite. But really I absolutely love all of their songs. I am really into their later years right now. But next month I might be into the early years which is what I was introduced too.

I am really into PG, and Presence and ITTOD right now as far as studio, and for live material, I am obsessed with anything Montreux and anything that is in SF which were my first Bootlegs I purchased. However, their 77 run in NY and LA is mind blowing and I love to throw that on and make my daughter listen to it. Sorry if I have not answered this question. But I am into all of it, no matter the year, and no matter the circumstances that they were under. I appreciate and love all of it.

You couldn't have answered the question better. Wonderful answer my friend. Oh I love those 77 shows too. I love Plant's cracked and often broken voice the best. So raw and powerful. I also love the Knebworth shows. Hell, like you said so well, I appreciate and love all of it as well.

Gotta say that 2 songs that leave me cold, Candy Store Rock and Hots on for Nowhere. Bonham kind of saves them for me.

And I nominate you for coolest Dad ever 😎
