  1. My point was that it wasn't Jansch's song. How should the credit read?

"Jimmy Page. Based on an arrangement by Bert Jansch of a song written by who knows whom, sometime we cannot be certain of." ASCAP

Otto Masson did a truly in-depth anaysis of this on the old board. Hopefully he'll catch this thread and reproduce it. It's quite well researched and enlightening!

    I understand that...

But what's actually worse than not crediting an artist is "resembling" an existing cover version...

  2. Zeppelin, the man who designed the album took those pics. I'm not sure if you knew that already, but that's what the article is kind of about.

A bad habit I developed from never reading my Playboys...

While embarassed, at least my recognition skills are still in tact...

  3. Sorry if this has been discussed- but I couldnt find it searching for Blu-Ray.

I was able to get my hands on the Blu-Ray version of TSRTS before it was pulled, and I can certainly see why, if it was a band decision. The sound and video transfer are indeed better- but the menu is awful. There is only a single freeze frame menu for the special features- and a play movie icon. That's it.

Not even a scene selection menu or option. Also no booklet or inside cover pictures or anything. The 'regular' versions menus were fantastic I thought- very disappointing all in all. Hope they put some care into the re-release of the hi-def version.

Sounds like you scored a collector's item to me...

  4. Yes...

I spoke w/ Julie on the phone back in the 80's as well and was a FITW subscriber...

Great fan. She definitely got closer to Robert than most fans, and sent me a copy of her call-in to the radio show as well back in TPOM era... Imparted some personal Zep stuff to me, so she definitely had a connection.

  5. This pair were interviewed for Q mag's LZ Special Edition in 2003. According to this one Plant suggested the other end of the Causeway at Staffa in Scotland but the blokes from Hipgnosis decided to go to Northern Ireland despite The Troubles at the time, apparently there were run-ins with British Army border guards to go along with the rain beset shoot and the Printing disasters that led to the delay in the album's release. There were 3 unnamed adult models involved in the shoot as well but only one of them made it on to the sleeve on the inside of the gatefold holding the child up.

Samantha was also on the back cover of Presence, the ringlet haired girl in the 'schoolteacher' photo and Stefan apparently featured on Pink Floyd's 'Division Bell' cover.

    Great info Sam - thanks...

    Dig the avatar as well.

  6. I heard it from a couple of different sources. She resembles Mo, but younger, so I'm thinking that it's true!

Could very well be - I just rewatched SIBLY on TSRTS, and she does resemble her. Very cool if true.

    Thanks JP77...

  7. I tried it and didn't see anything. Supposedly if you hold it against a mirror you'l see a horned creature.

    That's one of 2 things.

When looking at the image upright, portrait orientation, place the right edge against the mirror (it's easier if you use the LP instead of the CD sleeve).

The mountain becomes the right side of the 'Beast's' head/face, the Hermit becomes his right horn. The mirror image becomes the left side of his head, and the mirror image of the Hermit his left horn...

    So very cool...

But there's one more hidden image as well...
