  1. I could picture a Major Major daily photo thread.... kind of like Jimmy's "On this Day".

I prefer the 'comb over' pic MM posted way back in this thread.

Interesting how MM looks so different in each photo

and looking good Puffer. Your wife looks really lovely.

  2. A little tip on an Aussie horse who you may or may not have heard of and will be racing in the UK shortly.

Black Caviar was officially rated the world’s best racehorse following the first release of the World Thoroughbred Rankings by the International Federation of Horse Authorities. She has a perfect record of 21 starts for 21 wins.

She has just got off the plane in the UK and barring misfortune, will be racing at Royal Ascot, in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes on Saturday, 23 June andNewmarket, in the July Cup on Saturday, 14 July.

Black Caviar is racing today in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Ascot (Saturday 23rd)

Short priced odd's though, making her pretty much unbackable ..... but watch this beauty go round.

  3. Nice words Joe.

Julia, you're 1 inch (2 1/2 cm) shorter than me and i'm fuller grown. It's not such a bad height and i've never considered myself short, just pretty average actually. The bigger concern is your scoliosis and by the removal of your back brace, I hope that means things have improved for you.

Just think, would you rather be facing the consequences of scoliosis, or a tiny bit of shortness.

Plus there are some seriously nice heels you can wear :D

  4. A man and his wife were sitting in the living room and the husband said to her,

"I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."

She got up, unplugged the TV and threw out his beer.

  6. No nothing bad, have had a really painful hand for about 3 months that is getting worse, have lost the use of my Thumb and Index finger

You've lost the use of your thumb and index finger and you don't think thats bad?!!

Please, get yourself to that doctor as soon as possible ..... and let us know how you go.

  7. Batten down the hatches, it's going to be a rough night!

    http://www.bom.gov.a...gs/severe.shtml

It hit here on the south coast around 2 this morning and we're still getting blasted now. Cyclonic like torrential rain and incredibly strong winds. The noise was deafening, not only from the rain and wind, but the massive waves as well, not to mention what felt like every part of my house being rattled to the core. King tide due up tonight, so that'll cause some low lying flooding too.

It's been a rough 19 hours though, bit scarey at times, but it has eased a little. Should pass here by about midday tomorrow they predict.

Good luck .... batten down and stay safe.

  8. I owe a HUGE debt of gratitude to reswati for starting this thread and to Indyfan for suggesting Allen Carr's Easyway. Because of you two, I am celebrating my 6-month anniversary of being smokefree today! I did the webcast instead of the book because I didn't want to wait to finish reading it, so I quit in just the one day and it's been exactly like you say Indyfan. Nothing short of miraculous really, where I am today compared to all the very many times I quit smoking before. What I can't believe is that I'm just now hearing about this program and it's been around since the early 80s!! Why hasn't my doctor and HMO been promoting this?

    :thanku:

  9. oh oh oohhhhhh ..... what about your daughter has a nice little sleepover at Grandma's house for a night or 2. That way, Grandma gets to spoil her grandchild and have her all to herself and woohhooooooooooo Daddy Major has some free time

  10. What should I do? HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Lie ........

Tell her you and your daughter are going away for a few days together, somewhere, anywhere.

Tell her you want to spend some quality one on one time with your daughter.

Tell her you're taking your daughter out for the whole day as a special treat. Toy shopping, lunch, a kids movie, play with a friend and dinner.

If you know when your mum is planning on visiting, tell her you're taking your daughter out at that time for any of the above.

Tell her you think your daughter has measles and is contagious, not only that, but if your mum visits, she could pick up the virus and be a carrier, thus infecting other people.

Failing any of those lies, tell her you're having a foot fetish orgy and she would probably feel out of place if she came over :D

  11. ^ Whoa, Strider! Down, boy!

  12. Not a thank you, but a remembrance

    ANZAC Day - 2012

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

    We will remember them.

    Lest we forget
