PhxHorn Posted March 3, 2010 Share Posted March 3, 2010 There is a product out there from Yamaha called 'Silent Brass' which is designed as a practice mute to silence the horn altogether, but it has built-in mics so that the player can pipe his sound into headphones. Some folks have been piping it into effects pedals like you see here. You can also pipe a regular mic through effects pedals as well. Miles Davis did it in the 70s, as well as the Brecker Brothers who furthered the idea via MIDI effects in the early 90s. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
