John Oswald's "Plunderphonics"

This isn't exactly new news but it's new to me. On the current episode of the syndicated radio show Sound Opinions, sampling of records is examined. One person profiled is John Oswald who has been known to set his fire and brimstone style of preaching to the soundtrack of Zeppelin's "devil" music, particularly in this piece called "Power" which came out in 1975:

Perhaps the most interesting thing about Oswald's Plunderphonics is that they predate the advent of hip-hop and rap.

Interesting use of "Wanton Song". Very strange indeed!
