Aligula Posted April 25, 2008 Share Posted April 25, 2008 Hi, I'm studying music theory at the moment (in my own time) and doing time signatures. Anyway, I tried to look up Takamba's time sig' and I stumbled across an article which didn't mention Takamba but did say that Freedom Fries was in 9/8. So I've been listening to it and trying to work it out. I don't think it is 9/8 and I can't quite work the damn thing out! Anyone want to try and help. I'm in work and can only listen to it when the managers leave the office so I can't concentrate properly! Any ideas would be appreciated! Aligula Posted April 25, 2008 Author Share Posted April 25, 2008 Not that I got any replies but just incase anyone is trying to work it out...I've done it and it was 9/8 after all. There are two semi quaver rests in there which were screwing with my brain and confusing me. Hence the disjointed nature of the beat!!
