  1. G'day Rorer,

It's more economical than you think!

    1 CAN$ = 0.82 USA$

    1 CAN$ = 1.20 AUS$

    1 USA$ = 1.46 AUS$

Air fares and accomodation are cheap as chips at the moment, so if you booked and paid now for next year you'd save a motza.

Way cheaper than flying to North America!

And a G'day to you too Reggie!

My wife is Canadian and we just might be on our way along with ally...Woohoo! I hope your shrimp on the barbee is as good as ours! ;)

  2. Started off foggy this morning but the sun busted out and it got to 78 and it was real sunny this afternoon.Went and had a picnic with the Mrs... B) Supposed to be warmer tomorrow, maybe even record highs...come on global warming! B)

Just for a couple days. :)

  3. :D It's okay.

What I listened to via the other link is very cool! I'd be curious to hear the whole thing for sure. Funny because the recording I have has Sean Connery narrating against a very traditional orchestral arrangement so the contrast is pretty wild to this.

A good friend of mine(who was a huge Genesis fan) turned me onto it in 81.We listened to that album numerous times!

I turned him onto Zep III and gave him a 45 of HHWCID to keep with it.I talked to him and his wife recently and he still has the 45 in the III sleeve!

Seeing this thread reminded me of it and I looked it up.I will be buying it soon.

  4. Does anyone remember a rock version of Peter And The Wolf? It had Phil Collins ,Cozy Powell and Bill Bruford as the hunters...Manfred Mann was Peter,Brian Eno was the wolf.Alvin Lee was on it as well as Percy Jones.

Here's a link to the line-up.I haven't heard it since 81ish but I remember it as being a great compilation. It's worth checking out!

  5. I like Latkes - my mom makes them sooooo good. She makes them from scratch :D

Now that's making me hungry and I've already eaten...I used to go to a Jewish restaurant in Cleveland in the 70's where they made knishes.I haven't had one of those things since then but I remember how good they were!

  6. Very cool. I have friends there. Many run aways from out east too.

I do have a feeling many will be returning though.

So you are in Ontario now?

You're in the USA? You moved from Canada to the USA?

She (ZoSoDragon) moved here(North Carolina) from Edmonton.

  7. Thanksgiving dinner. Lots of it. And the first Oilers game of the season.

We did the Canadian Thanksgiving dinner here yesterday.I cooked an 8 pound ham on the Weber charcoal grill.Very tasty.I also made deviled eggs and ZoSoD made the scalloped potatoes and brown and serve rolls.mmmmm!

  8. I got a job! :D

    Good for you MissHD!

I'm sure that would make most folks happy :D

    Edited to add:

I changed the oil in the truck this morning.Been wanting to do that since about 3000 miles ago.
