Burst of inspiration last week.

I finished two unfinished stories, wrote three new ones.

Made two new drawings and for the first time in my life draw on canvas in oil!

I also learned how to draw Hermit.

Very proud of myself.

Another thing that made me happy: I bought Stephen King's Four Past Midnight in English. I have to learn english.

Congrats on finishing your stories. I haven't written anything in ages...I should get back into it.

What made me happy was getting free samples of strawberry and red velvet cupcakes, in celebration of the store's second anniversary!

My parents came down and visited me. We only see each other a few times a year so whenever we do, we make the most of each visit!

Anyway, this technically wasn't today, but last night me and a bunch of girls went to one of the hottest nightspots in town...hung out at the rooftop. We were pretty much the only people up there so we felt like celebrities! I ran up a huge tab but I had a fabulous time.

I brought my change to one of those Coinstar machines and saw that I had like $13 worth. I redeemed it for an iTunes card and downloaded all kinds of great music.

I screwed up at work this morning. I won't go into details...even though my boss wasn't angry with me about it, I doubt she'll trust me with the task again.

My Bob Marley album skipped as well, in the middle of one of my favorite songs "Three Little Birds."

I hope so too. My dog loves beer. Well anything that's not nailed down pretty much she'll consume!

I find the whole idea of giving a dog beer so hilarious! I wonder if my dog will like it, ha ha.

I was listening to a song played by a local bluegrass band, and the middle of it the singer belted out the words "a whole lotta love and a little less greed."

My A/C decided to act up this morning, on a day when it's supposed to reach nearly 100 degrees. Since someone is coming over to fix it I had to cancel previous plans, and I'll have to dip into my emergency fund to pay for the repairs.

Lucky! It feels fine over here right now (well, because my A/C is running) but tomorrow is supposed to be VERY hot and humid (high of 100 - eep).

I watched my Paris Je T'aime DVD this morning. The next movies I want to see are Up and The Hangover. Especially the latter...I saw the trailer and thought it was so funny!

[Current music recommendations]

Dungen - A band from Sweden that would've done well in the Woodstock era. I can't understand a word they're saying, as the songs are not even in English, but the great psychedelic sound makes up for it!

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings - Their recordings sound like they were straight from the '60s! For this reason I thought they were some group from that era that just never got noticed. Hard to believe they actually formed in 1996. If you like '60s/'70s soul, give them a listen.

My parents probably will allow me to travel with some friends in the summer holidays. With the Interrail ticket through Europe!!!! THey won't let me go down south to Balcan and Greek (I'd be too hot in summer anyway), but through the Balticum and Scandinavia!

Good bye, boring holidays at the beach with only my family, welcome adventure, freedom, LIFE!!!
