Pilot drifting into The Pub...mid-week drinking!!!!
Oh, go on then...a large neat scotch
-
So Pilot, has the weather been crap over your way today? How have you spent your Saturday?
Well, it was dry all day (for a change), but started raining about 5pm and doesn't seem to have stopped since.
I've had a chill out day today. After a FEB, read the paper, slobbed out, took Jasper for a walk, watched a local game of rugby union for a while and ended wishing I was twenty years younger so I could show 'em how to do it properly , went home and slobbed out some more.
et vous?

Hullo All ! I wish I could stay ! Would you all be so kind as to set a Newcastle at the bar and act as if I'm here with you ? My wife put an awful thumpin' on me for dragging my ass home so late last night and I'm commited to take her out to a nice , civil dinner. Pilot, Richard....she wants to speak with you.....er...both....RUN MATES ! RUN !
oo, er...thanks for the heads up Brother.
...and there is always a bottle of this waiting on the bar for you my friend.
Make sure you take your good lady to a nice fancy restaurant. You know the type. The ones where Newky Brown is on the wine list
-
Now that is more like it Mr Pilot....you know how we Yorkshiremen like our drinks.
Thank you kindly...I suppose you want me to drink this out back so I don't get beer on the nicely waxed floor.
Your welcome my friend, but less of the 'Mr. Pilot'...Mr Pilot is my father, ...er sort of!
No need to go outside. It's all spit and sawdust in here.
-
Not quite that refreshing my friend.
However, I am thinking of a drink that, not unlike milk, will leave a nice moustache for on-lookers to enjoy.
Hint hint.
Oh, I get it now
sorry about the delay
-
*Richard strolls through the door with a look of sheer dehydration on his face*
"PILOT", he says, "I would like you pour me something English and refreshing!"
Certainly, my young West Yorkshireman

The choice is your's

Cheers! Well, I can understand how you might have been nervous, I suppose--it did come as a crushing blow when I found out.
Honesty is the best policy
-
ooops..forgot your drink...many apologies
-
It might have been funny for YOU --I need a stiff gin and tonic, remembering it! I thought I'd never see you all again--or see Pilot at all, come to think of it!
Well actually, it was all my fault. I was using delaying tactics. I was nervous meeting you without my, ahem, motorbike
-
Hi Celia...how are you?
here's your drink
Anyone else?
-
anyone in here tonight?
Sat drinking a 'Grants' at the mo.
...any takers?
-
And it annoys me that most foreigners can speak good English yet few English people can't speak anything but English. haha!
Speak for yersen. I speak fluent English and Yorkshire

To john bonham...9 empty bottles of heineken and a playing of -when the levee breaks!!! from me.
Ah, another one of my American cousins.
Greetings from this 'ere Hullensian
How you doin' and what you suppin'?
-
Here's me and my favorite beverage last All Hallows Eve, no disrespect to John. I Love you Bonzo ! ( that was about my 20th of the evening..er......early morning)
Bonzoween... ...I like that.
-
I have visited Hull numerous times...I have some good friends over there. And of course the Humber Bridge has to be visited every so often just for the sake.
Of course...it's bigger than that red effort in California anyway.
-
What a dark day it was...I'll never forget it. Let's toast Mr. Bonham..."Here's to you John".
I'll drink to that!
To John Henry Bonham..god rest his sole
-
And yeah I agree with you....quick, we should down this American stuff and be more patriotic. I'll take a Tetley's thank you...although a Black Sheep would go down a treat now too. Smooth stuff.
And yeah, which part of glorious Yorkshire are you posting from? Are you enjoying the rain...hope it isn't flooding there my friend.
I hail from Hull, but live in a village a few miles away nowadays. Still work in Hull though.
Used to work in Leeds though...1980. I know that, cos it was in Leeds when I heard about the passing of Bonzo

Pilot my pedaling friend!! So nice to see you I'm off the training so I'm having a nice G&T
Go for it 9...you deserve one...a large one.
Actually surprised to see you in the Pub this evening...thought you'd be having a very un-birthday party somewhere
-
well I will be happy to help in any way I can Bilbo. It is tough to drum up such support though.
i really miss the old place...the bar stools were a lot more comfy.
*pours himself a third JD....and gives Pilot some too* Hey Pilot!!
Why thank you my fellow Yorkshireman...perhaps we should be drinking Tetley's, John Smiths or Sam Smiths
I wonder if we are the closest two members online on this forum at the moment...what, some 50-60 miles apart!!
-
WOO HOO ! Me long lost Brother ! How's yer knob Pilot ?
Highly polished for a Friday...
