On this day in 1969, Led Zeppelin recorded four tracks for the BBC, but the recordings were lost before they could ever be broadcast. The British Broadcasting Corporation was notorious for ill handling of its tapes. Usually, erasing and losing old tapes was common. But to lose newly recorded tapes set a new low for the BBC.

Yes! In a couple of Sundays, I will be able to smell the glorious smell of nitro methane & have the ground shakin' beneath my feet. I love drag racing!
