I'm calling a lack of memory loss on Jerry's behalf here.
But I have found him saying it
He doesn't specify 73 here though

Whoever edited the video deserves some kind of award. The mimicked live footage is spot on and the whole feel and attitude of the song is represented perfectly, right down to the underwater swamp footage. I think this video is a hidden gem in the Zep catalog and is just as noteworthy as any t-shirt or poster.
Yes I've longed revered this video, it's so perfectly in balance and in a strange kind of way so Led!

Robert aged 10 years between July 19 73 and when this photo was taken in 1977. He looks a lot older here. In the song remains the same he still looks like a kid and in this picture he definitely looks over 30.
I just think he looks tired here I don't think those 4 years aged him that much.
77-80 however he was a completely different man. Inside and out

in pick 1 was that the average amp set up for them onstage. If so how on earth did they get the massive sound.
Bonzo, a screaming banshee, JPJ knowledge of acoustics and Mr Magick

I thought about that, but it seemed strange that Robert would publicly announce that Jimmy's a junkie (assuming "sleeping" and "being on the nod" are the same things.)
British sarcastic humour. Robert has it mastered.

There's another thread on the site about this show. In it, a person speculates
As you pointed out, Jimmy is on point at the beginning of the show, so I'm not sure a slow start is what Robert was talking about.
It means he was on a lot of drugs

Are you going to see them on their E.O.T.R. tour? I definitely am in one week as a matter of fact!
Yep July!

That Japan show where they are waiting for Bonzo shows you what a real leader Jimmy actually was, when Robert started singing red nosed-reindeer, Jimmy stopped him right in his tracks with "come on it's getting silly now...".
It's very rare how you see those early leadership glimpses EVER. Post Presence Jimmy was probably way to drained to bother leading.

Montreal 1975. You hear very clearly a bunch of young lads who were probably high as a kite however knowledgeable of the band. This is 1975 and at one time one of the kids requests Traveling Riverside Blues which didn’t see the public or radio light till about 1989 from the original box set.
After Kashmir all you hear is “ holy Fuck”,,!!
Great appreciative Canadian crowd.
Dude, literally look up 2 posts haha!

Well, it's all relative. When Jimmy owned Old Mill House in Windsor he was in a long-running feud with his neighbor, Dudley Burnside, an RAF pilot during World War II. Mr. Burnside felt slighted by Jimmy that his repeated requests to have trees which border their properties cut down were rebuffed. (The trees were causing damage to Mr. Burnside's property). This went to court in October 1999. Mr. Burnside lost the case and had to pay nearly $40,000 in legal fees, leading to some harsh words from him in the press.

Looks like Burnside and Page had something in common
QuoteOn the night of March 5 he was sent to bomb Essen
Both in March nonetheless, Jimmy did a lot more damage though..

Hanson could blow the Stones off the stage. Their live acts were held together by a front man strutting like a chicken.
LOL
I must add it wasn't actually the Stones at Knebworth really was it now
Edit: It's Jahfin you're replying too, didn't realise this thread was THAT old
Ah Jahfin, where art thou now?

I'm suggesting he provided source material (outtakes) to them with the understanding their production department would incorporate it into a promotional music video for TRB, after which they would hold the copyright to the content of the video. The label doesn't retain any rights to any outtake footage not featured in the film or video(s).
We're in agreement here SAJ
So where's the rest?! Rewatching that it seems like there's bloody hours from Plumpton, Starship, Driving, Baltimore.
Bloody loads hanging about somewhere

Sorry but I disagree. It's like watching a bad drag queen. IMHO all he does is ape Led Zeppelin. He may resemble Jimmy but it's in appearance only. There is no feeling in his guitar playing that comes anywhere near to what Jimmy actually sounds like. Somebody posted an audio cut of him jamming and tried to pass it off as an unheard jam by Zeppelin. As soon as I heard it I knew it wasn't Jimmy or Zeppelin in general, turns out it was this guy. Couple others got it too.
If you want to listen to Guitarists who know Jimmy check out Blue Congo playing Dazed and Confused on his ACOUSTIC GUITAR! He plays it mostly from his slant but at the end, he adds a couple licks that you can hear Jimmy Play live and he plays them correctly and if you are as intimately familiar with Zeppelin's live repertoire as I am you will also feel it. He gets Jimmy. Then head over to porgie's vids where he and his mates recreate Zeppelin's studio work. They are as close to Zeppelin as you can get without being them and I can feel it in my bones when I watch their vids. These guys are on another level when compared to sakurai. He's all pride pomp and circumstance with nothing behind the veil. TMSAISTI.
p.s. My opinion is based on 35 years of obsessive listening to Live Zeppelin.
I fooled die-hards blind testing them making them think Sakurai IS Page.
Sorry but you're wrong here..
Watch this and tell me he doesn't have everything COMPLETELY downpat.

The dude literally is Saturn's incarnation of Jimmy and we are borrowing him for a bit IMO.

I'm saying it's outtake footage they didn't "own", at least not until it was provided for use in TRB by Page. Ordinarily, they wouldn't own any of the outtake footage not used in the film or a promo video because they didn't finance it.
Ah so you think Page lent it to them for TRB?
