Jeff Beck on the lawsuit:
Outside of his own busy schedule, Beck was also paying close attention to the Led Zeppelin "Stairway To Heaven" plagiarism case, partly as an interested musician, but just as much as a longtime friend and music mate of Jimmy Page. "I had to smirk because I knew that Jimmy and Robert would come out on top," Beck says. "Apparently you can't copyright a chord sequence. It has to have a lyric or some kind of a meaningful melody to be copyrighted. And it is a chord sequence which has been used loads of times, but not in such an iconic way. It clearly is the same chord sequence [as Spirit's 'Taurus'], but then we're all guilty of stealing a chord sequence and sticking some words on top of it. So I think it's a bit of bravado to try to bring it to court, but Jimmy came out ahead. So, lucky Old Jim!"

I have a really bad feeling Zep is going to lose this case. I think it's complete BS but so far the evidence is making them look bad. Hate this crap!

If they continued, they would become just another classic rock band where members come and go (aka Deep Purple, Yes,etc). I think Plant would have left shortly after they continued anyhow.

The sad part is that the damage has been done. Every Zep-Hater has more ammo and even some people who like them are questioning their credibility now. You should see the comments on some sites. The whole thing is a bad joke.

The lead, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, was terribly bland in Zilla, but I thought he was good in "Kick-Ass".

Just came home and I thought it was terrible. I'm so freaking pissed off right now.I waited two years and this is the best they could do. The first half hour or so was really good and it quickly went downhill. I'm a huge Godzilla fan and have been dying for a good American-made Zilla movie since I was a kid. They failed again (and the previews gave such promise), All I can say without spoiling anything is that the come attractions are the ultimate manipulation in editing. Hollywood completely sucks imo. They never get it right anymore. I give it a D.
P.S. I can't explain why I hated it without spoiling it. If anyone cares why I feel this way, you can PM me.

I agree with the OP. If there is more footage from Bonzo's MD solo in the TSRTS , I'd love to see it. Same with more footage of Jimmy's bow solo and the jamming part of the song, TSRTS.

I agree. I saw him live in Philly around 8 years ago. Freaking amazing show and his guitar talent is up there with all the greats.
