  1. So... had a great day.  Cocktails/snacks.  Saw "Spotlight".  Had dinner.  Took a walk.

Oh yeah...the game.  Well, the day wasn't perfect...

You were just 50 minutes away from me Esther.  Did you go to Turning Stone Casino?  Or just the Carrier Dome?  My daughter and her husband are both SU Grads.  They were freshmen when SU won the national championship.  Well, hope al is well,  Keep me posted if our O's make any big moves?  I cannot keep track of baseball in the winter.  I love hockey also.  Did you bring any NY wine back?

  2. Prince of Penzance at 100 to 1 won it and it was the first time a female jockey won the race.

Dang.  Wish I had seen it.  Today in race 9 at Aqueduct in NY, the 5 horse, Lemon Song, has a big shot.  Not a maiden, has won before at big price.  Today 5-1 morning line.  I like him.

  3. I've seen those belVita Bites at the grocery but haven't tried them yet. They seem similar to those Quaker Oats breakfast bars.

I say old chap, aren't you in the wrong thread? Hehehe. Yes, I am aware of the AFC West Theory...hence, my betting the Raiders this week.

    Wow;  These meds are good

  4. My best bet of the week is your Raiders Strider.  Its the AFC West Theory in our face.  Its like 90 percent over the last 30 years.  An AFC west team getting pts at home vs another AFC west team, take the team at home with the points.  I say the Raiders win outright

  5. Rick, I think you may be talking about changing the theme? If so, that feature is at the very bottom of the page (scroll way down until you can't scroll no more). There are 2 themes to choose from, try them both and see which you prefer.

Thanks Becky.  I saw that.  But last time there was a way to change the color to several choices as I recall?  If I remember correctly?  Big if

  6. Race 13 tonight at a harness track in the Pocono's called Pocono Downs is a horse named Red Zeppelin. A speed horse that is likely dropping in class big time off the ship in from Canada. He is 3-1 morning line and I put a couple bucks on his nose. I have bigger fish to fry at Del Mar.

  7. I was not at the bachelor party the other night and my wife did go to her daughter's bachelorette party in Buffalo. So at the bachelor party at some out in the woods party, the step father of the groom had a fucking porta potty brought in for $200!!!! I am going to ask around how the "flying shithouse is doing?" :hysterical:

I do not care for the fucker. He must have a colostomy or something to have a shit house brought out to no mans land for a bachelor party!!!!!!! OMG :hysterical:

PS SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS A SECRET!!!!!!! :phone::fan::hysterical:

  8. Drinking my first Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat. I like it better than Sam Adams Summer ale even though that one is good too. LeinenKugel's I love as I have ordered a half barrel for the wedding coming up. I still have not have an IPA as I was scared away by someone that told me its tastes like Sierra Nevada which is way too bitter for me. I like Becks from Germany even though its bitter but its different. The Guinness Blonde is a disappointment. I love Guinness Stout in the winter.

  9. Been there a number of times myself, Rick. Yeah pit stops are now routinely 12 seconds or less - that's changing 4 tires, adding 20 gallons of fuel, and making adjustments to the chassis. Fun place to spend the day partying and watching some great high speed road racing! Right after yesterday's race they began tearing up the track getting it ready for a complete repave. I'm glad they're pumping more money into it - it guarantees many more years of NASCAR and many other series will race there. My boy had the lead until the last turn when he ran out of gas. He was supposed to run out with two laps to go, but saved about a gallon even while leading the race. It's the first time in like 20 years they didn't have a caution with 30 or less laps to go.... A caution would've allowed him to save more and therefore win. Oh well, he's in The Chase already, is still the points leader, defending champion of the series, and usually has the fastest car pretty much every week.

We're heading up to "the track too tough to take", aka Darlington Raceway, over Labor Day weekend to see the return of the Southern 500 to the "Lady in Black" on its longtime traditional weekend date. It will be a total throwback weekend with many cars having special paint schemes, the track being dressed up like its 1972 and many more surprises yet to be announced. Walter Jr's first trip up there.

We also have Spencer Speedway, if its still open and near Buffalo is Lancaster. Lots of demolition at both. Just saw this post. Watkins Glen is far more well known. Its a bit remote. An hour and a half south of Rochester. In the Southern Tier as its known by New Yorkers. My wife is from that area. I used to deer hunt down there 20 years ago. I have been by Daytona a few times while hitting that beach. Its not the best place to go in Florida by any stretch as I am sure you know.

  10. I picked up a mix and match at Wegmans where you can make your own six pack with pretty much a hundred or more varieties . I tried the Guiness Blonde, and am presently drinking my first. My first disappointment is "brewed in USA". WTF? Its supposed to be from Ireland. It is not even close to being as good as regular Guiness Stout. Back to Summer Shandy

  11. My buddy is at Watkins Glen which is only an hour and half from me or less. Place is nuts today. Big race

Damn they change those tires fast

  12. I am pretty sure there was another Eagles thread here going back a few years? I am a huge Eagles fan. They are in my top 5 after Led Zeppelin I would rank The Who, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Stones, Beatles as those I love after Zeppelin. I saw them most recently in Buffalo in 2003. Love the DVD Hell Freezes Over. I do not think I would pay to see them again. I would rather listen to them on CD and remember them in their prime. They do not want to do what the Stones have done. Even though i will admit the Stones have been very effective at times even though they have really pushed it as far as their age is concerned. I know Henley and Frey and Walsh are still great and always will be as long ass they can pick up a guitar. Many classics the Eagles have given us.
