  1. I was at the FredRock Festival in Fredericton, NB, Canada this past weekend. Got to see Live, The Black Crowes and Gordie Johnson (formally of Big Sugar and Grady). Also got to see some new bands as well, such as Age of Daze and The Replacements. The music was fantastic, can't say the same about the weather. Local weather channels called for 7-10mm of rain.... we goth 44.8mm. I was completely wet all the way through my clothes. It was well worth it though. I was pretty much up front for it all. About 5000-6000 showed up. Got to meet Chris Robinson in the lobby of my hotel, as well as talked/had a drink with Gordie Johnson at the hotel bar after the concert. It joined the local ban for a few songs for fun.

Goods times all around. Getting prepared for AC/DC and Coldplay next month.

  2. Hi all,

    Holly McNarland - (Holly McNarland)

I totally forgot about Holly. She had a great rocker voice and some great tunes. I've seen her live several times.

I also forgot Meridith Brookes. She had some good stuff. I always though she could be a little more rock sounding, but good stuff nonetheless.

  3. That's awesome. :D They are one of my favorite bands but I've still to attend my first Black Crowes concert yet.

This will be my first time seeing them. From what I have seen/heard from official and bootleg concerts...they're fantastic. Here's hoping they stick to the usual and play a wide variety of their material plus a few cover tunes.

They having an album coming out in September (If I recall) and when you purchase it, you get a code when you can download another new album (or second part). It's called "Before the Frost" and the download is "Until The Freeze"

The concert I'm going to is part of a weekend long festival, so they may not play a lot of material, but with the new album coming out, I'd expect a full tour to follow in the new year. The concert I'm going to is a small one in Atlantic Canada. I'm hoping for more smaller venues in more smaller areas.
