I believe this happens to everyone who drives normal and not like either a geezer or a madman. The lights are timed so that if you hit one, if you proceed at or close to the posted speed you will in turn hit most or all. Now if you can rip-ass down the road around 15+ mph over the speed limit, you will have much better odds at making the lights. Unfortunately you will also increase your odds of running afoul of "da man" and getting popped for speeding.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Normally this is the case.... but my city is being operated by a bunch of monkeys. The city engineer (if we have one) never re-syncs the traffic lights after they are replaced/repaired.  A lot of times traffic gets backed up in the middle of the intersection because  cars entering from a secondary road are stuck at a red luck a short ways up ahead, so that when I get the green light again there is no where to go.... it's very frustrating.

  2. Attended a win to get in surprise concert this past weekend hosted by the Iceberg Ally Performance Tent as a thank to the fans. The band was not announced until they took the stage. It turned out to be Monster Truck..... and it was amazing. Can't for them on Sep 11, 2019 when they open the 11 day festival with The Glorious Sons.

I think there is a cosmic/electrical/esp/solar wind conspiracy on me when I drive, as whenever I approach a green light it instantly turns red. The bastards just know I'm coming.

I know how you feel. I complain to my wife all the time how I get every red light in the city all the time. She started to make a mental note of it to prove me wrong. While it wasn't even light, over 90% are always red for me. Either some city planner/engineer is messing with the light to anger me... or I have extremely bad luck with traffic lights.
