- my fave band other than led zeppelin. if there is a better band on planet earth as we speak,it has to be RUSH! hugely influenced by led zeppelin. when rush's 1st album came out,people heard working man and thought it was the latest led zeppelin album.
I don't believe I thought it was a new Zep album. I will be seeing them on the 26th May in Birmingham.

I saw him last week in Birmingham, good show but not that inspiring for me. About time he dropped the acoustic Layla and Wonderful tonight ( reinforced by several avid Clapton fans who were there with me). He had very little rapport with the audience during the set, only spoke to say than you after each number and to introduce band members.Granted the audience were not the most excitable but I had the feeling he was going through the motions with songs he can play in his sleep. Perhaps he is winding down as he says he will stop touring in a couple of years. I would have preferred a smaller intimate venue, more blues tunes on the night.
