So let me get this straight...NO NEW MUSIC. NO TOUR for what pushing 40 years now, but we loyal Zep fans get a book? Freaking GREAT! Like others have posted: ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Just another way to get cash off the loyal fan base for anything and everything except what we REALLY want: NEW MUSIC and TOURS. Oh but we WILL get another rehash of the Live "Song Remains the Same" album, so they can try and suck off some more of our cash to pay their taxes and their Royal Family..

All this because Mr. Plant says he will not tour because he is not a "Jukebox" while he tours America playing lame, watered down Zep songs and his lame solo songs with his 'Band of Hippies'

For the record, I am the #1 Zep fan in America since I saw them live in Houston in 1977, but I want ZEP! I want Rock! NOT UNLEDDED!

No offence but I think it's pushing it to call yourself the #1 Zep fan just because you saw them in 77. I saw them in 73, 75 79 and 2007 but I wouldnt call myself the UK's #1 fan, in fact I wouldn't call anyone the #1 fan, it's a subjective statement. . I am just one of many deeply devoted fans of Zeppelin. I am the #1 Zep fan in my house and street I know that.

This site has been up and running for 11 years and there was a previous site before that, So where have you been? But welcome anyway.

You don't have to buy the book or  any "rehashes"or go and see RP play live. Its a choice people make. I choose to do all.

Just come and join us. There are plenty of devoted and dedicated fans here.

I teared up when he played Moby Dick.  So cool

    Nice one.

I could have anhedonia or I could just be a miserable Yorkshire get, but I don't celebrate anything, not Xmas, not my own birthday, nowt, so I have to say I'm far from fussed about the prospect of 5.1 mixes in five years' time...

    Aye it's grip up north

These photos were taken by my best friend, Gerald Birdsall, when we were both 15 years old.  We got these pair of tickets to the 8:30 pm concert 10th row just two days before the concert.  As you may know, the Led Zeppelin band members missed their flight to the US the day before the concert and managed to arrive at Carnegie Hall just a few hours before the concert.  That may help to explain why there was so little stage equipment for this concert.  The crowd went wild during the concert and the Carnegie Hall management were compelled to stop the concert several times so they could urge the fans to step down off the mahogany arms of the chairs in this formal concert hall.  As LZ webmaster, Sam Rapallo, has mentioned, there was no security managing the crowd that night - only traditional ushers.  So, because our seats were right off the isle, we could go right down to the edge of the stage to take a few of these photos.  The camera that was used was a Nikon F with high speed B&W Tri-X film.  We used this high speed film so no flash would be required.  Gerald and I developed the negatives ourselves.  The negatives were misplaced for 45 years.  They were found in 2014 when Robert Plant was touring the US with his new album show.  We saw him put on a fantastic concert at the Capitol Theater (Port Chester, NY) on September 24, 2014.  Ironically, the Capitol Theater concert hall was established in the fall of 1969 by Howard Stein, the same individual who produced the concert at Carnegie Hall on October 17, 1969.  Gerald and I sent copies of these 1969 photos from Carnegie Hall back stage to Robert Plant the night of the 2014 concert, but we were not sure they got to him.  Now they can be enjoyed more widely.

Great story and thanks for finding and posting them.

It's just another boring Plant interview in support of another boring Plant solo album. These days, try as he does, he's about as edgy as a back issue of People magazine.

and the usual predictable and boring response to any Plant interview.

Wow, nice to get a call out on this forum! I haven't posted in forever but wanted to say 'hi' to Pilot, Paul, Helen, Celia and all the other friends I met on this magical day. The night before at the Worlds End was epic, and yes I remember trying to find Helen at Canary Wharf! You all are memorialized in the artwork I had created to remember this event as I have the picture we took at TGIF @ Canary Wharf in the frame. Paul has seen it since he visited me in Chicago on his Tour of America last year. You are all very special people and I feel honored to have shared this event with all of you!

yep I remember scouring YouTube all night as vids popped up. Incredible show. Ten fast years...

Pilot, brspled and other old boarders met up for a meal before the show. Quite a few of us met up the night before after collecting our wristbands n tickets. They were fabulous gatherings of people from around the world. And we are all still friends in real life.

  10. A busy few weeks for me, just had Metallica, Marillion and Alice Copper in the past 3 weeks.

Onwards to Deep Purple on Saturday in Manchester UK, then its 4 Plant shows on the trot, Wolverhampton, Llandudno, Liverpool and Manchester, throw in a break seeing a Welsh singer sonwriter Martyn Joseph then 3 more Plant shows in Sheffield, London and Birmingham before finishing the year with Thunder.  That will be a total of 44 gigs this year and I said I was going to cut down in 2017.

And then I welcome in the new year with Black Country Communion on 2nd Jan.

Its hard work all this touring.
