Thanks, I get a bit suspicious of the words "secret" "rare" etc, when the magazine is sealed in a plastic wrap!Yes it is. I should also say it was at the Mayfair Ballroom - it wasn't a secret though.

Damned if I can find in anywhere but a song sang by a choir called Brochan Lom, a celtic song I believe

Not seen the magazine yet, is the article good ?Classic Rock Issue 176 Oct 2012 Has a feature on Led Zep's 'secret' UK debut on 4th October 1968. At a Newcastle Ballroom, Audience members turning up expecting to see The Yardbirds.

In the old days a gentleman could view his morning newspaper in peace, like Cary Grant did.
Since the internet, that tradition seems to have gone out the window........

I have not seen it in years....Midnight Run (1988)

make's me feel rather old, a very dip your toes type album!

^ Good to know it wasn't just me then... the script/plot felt as if had been put together using a dartboard.

Strider, I would like to hear what you think about the film.
-
You sidestepped where Prometheus would fit into the consensus ?So far, the consensus worst movie of the year is "Battleship"...although some might argue "John Carter". Hmmm, both star Taylor Kitsch. Dude might want to change his name...and if he already changed his name to Kitsch, then acting is the least of his problems.
Anyway, a contender for worst movie of 2012 arrives tomorrow...or since it is past midnight, today: "Rock of Ages".
The trailer looks dreadful, and I'm sorry...Foreigner, Journey, Poison, Def Leppard, Reo Speedwagon and Twisted Sister is not my idea of a good time.

How can you it alone...The Who

I am lost now I'm sure it had a Addams family house Wacky Races?No....Wacky Races had many spin-offs. The Hooded Claw was from Penelope Pitstop's cartoon. Dastardly and Muttley had their own show also at one point. None were as good as the original imo...but I wasn't 8 anymore either.
-
Would that be show with the hooded claw ?Wacky Races....my all-time favorite.
Was 8 or 9 when Scooby first came out. The only problem was they ran the first few original episodes in the ground.
"Unsupervised" makes me chuckle.

Steve, in the Jimmy. on this day thread you mentioned that Atlantic wanted a final album from them, Coda to fulfill a contract. Could you explain why?
Zeppelin always seemed close to Ahmets heart. I always took the album on face value....

Steve & Kenog many thanks for the info, would anyone on know if the gig was filmed or even a photo
-
Thanks Steve,February 3, 1988...An invitation only gig for the British and European press; Ian Gillan and Roger Waters also attended. Robert was moving forward with his new band by playing a series of low-key UK dates at the time.
Met a old friend who used to hang out at the Marquee all the time, this gig came up because his hero Ian Gillan stood next to him that night (The Ship pub.) and he did not notice! Are there any reviews of the gig online?
-
Could you remember the date of the gig at the Marquee. Robert played a show for warner music folk..
Maybe around 1988 ...Robert had the stage for the show extended.. Steve?
