  1. These are from Mojo Classic - Led Zeppelin and the Story Of 1969 and make interesting reading:

John Lennon: "They sound alright. Jimmy Page has always been a bloody good guitar player"

Eric Clapton: "They were very loud. I thought it was unneccessarily loud. I really liked some of it, but a lot of it was just too much."

Pete Townshend: "I'm not one of their biggest fans, which doesn't mean that I don't like them, but means I don't really get into their music a lot."

Keith Richards: "I played their first LP a lot when I first got it, but then the guy's voice started to get on my nerves for some reason. I dunno why - I imagine just a bit too acrobatic for me."

I think they are just jealous because Zeppelin is a better band all together (Lennon is the only one to seemed to have liked them and The Beatles were a damn good band but you can't compare them to Zeppelin because they were more of a pop band).

The reason I say that is because to me, Clapton's, Townshend's and Richard's stuff all sounds the same (especially Clapton). Now I am not saying I don't respect them because I do and i do like the other guy's music; I just think out of all those rock bands that came out of England, Led Zeppelin was the best.

  2. Rory Gallagher is one of my favorite musicians and has a huge influence on me. My band and I play "Do You Read Me" on a regular basis. He was very personal about his music, he was 100% committed. He wouldn't release singles either, career sacrificing move because he viewed it as an intrusion on his right to solo uninterruptedly over 37 consecutive choruses of a 12-bar blues.

  3. the dragon suits really came into use on the 75 and 77 tours

in 75 he favoured the dragon embroidered black suits (the dragon suit) and for the 77 tour he wore the white suit with embroidered poppys (the poppy suit)

after 77 he never wore them, or anything like them again

prior to the 75 tour he had started more flashy clothing from the end of 72 and in the 73 tours. these were less obviously themed than the dragon or poppy suits, and featured astrological symbols etc as seem in the movie

He has his Space outfit on the latter legs on the American 1973 concerts.

  4. Extraterrestrials are out there for sure. You have to be naive to think that we are the ONLY Earth is the only planet in the universe with life on it. The Universe is expanding everyday. i just read an article in the paper that said scientists found a new plane much like Earth! http://www.startribune.com/science/104091908.html

I watch this show on history channel called Ancient Aliens and it has honestly blown my mind.

    Watch the videos..

Monsters like Big Foot, no. There has be no physical evidence that has proved of its existence. i personally think the show Monster Quest on the History Channel is a joke. They NEVER find ANYTHING that is conclusive evidence of any monster. All you have are eye witness accounts, so chances are its some guy trudging through the woods in a costume he got in the Halloween section of a retail store. Until there is absolute physical evidence, I don't believe it; and what I mean by physical evidence; fossilized remains, footprints that are actually worth value and can be cased, etc. So I will believe it when I see it.

Here is a classic example of why I do not believe in monsters.

where is the physical evidence? have they unearthed fossilized remains? no. any photos? no. All there is is eye witness accounts and people lie all the time. There are compulsive liars out there. So my question; how the fuck can a dinosaur still be living today? Scientists have a ton of evidence that proves dinosaurs became extinct during the late Cretaceous period so how could 1 possibly survived? it didn't. Until there is a good photo of this, I won't believe it.

  5. Hey Steve! Got another one for you. I found this picture below a while back and the date, as I saved it, said 2/1/1975 which is one of the days Zeppelin played at Pittsburg (2/2/1975 is disputed, as discussed on that Led Zeppelin reference website you showed me). I know there are not known bootleg/SBD recordings of the show circulating but how about pictures? Just curious, thanks!

  6. Steve, I need some clarification; I know of Minneapolis 1975 concert photos in circulation but I don't know if these are some other photos of Jimmy allegedly from the Minneapolis, Minnesota 1975 (which I believe was actually in Bloomington not Minneapolis). However, I have also heard that these photos were from one or all of the shows in Chicago 1975. So my question is, what show are they from? Or does Jimmy just happen to be wearing the same outfit that he often did at multiple shows?
